Scavenger Hunt
Rainy Day Scavenger Hunt! Have your kids search around their house for items that will help them complete a scavenger hunt. Things like postcards with clues and stickers can be used to help them track down the various items needed to complete the hunt.
Indoor Tag
A game of tag! Have some fun playing this classic game indoors. Tag someone and watch them run around the room trying to avoid being tagged. When you're tagged, you're it!
Hide and Seek!
Simply set up a small area with some furniture, and have the children search for you. Make sure to hide well, and have fun watching them attempt to find you!
Activity Rush
In this game, players are divided into teams and each team is given a set of cards with different activities on them. The first player in each team selects an activity card and then everyone else follows suit. The objective of the game is to complete as many activities on your cards as possible before a timer runs out. If you get stuck, you can ask someone else on your team to help you out. The first team to finish their cards wins!
Some ideas for activities in this game include:
-Draw a picture with crayons
-Make a snowman
-Color in a sketchbook
-Write a story
Candle Making
Kids can make their own candles out of wax, wicks, and a container of either regular or soy candle wax. It’s the perfect activity to do when it starts raining outside but they don’t want to leave the house!
Guessing Game
Make a game out of predicting when the rain will stop. Have players stand in a line (if you have more than two people playing) and take turns saying out loud when they think the rain will stop. Whoever is closest to the truth when it actually does stop raining wins.
