A Day Full Of Sun And Arts
Hello everybody‼️
Last Wednesday, my son was selected to attend an Art Performance Concert organized by all schools in Sandakan, my hometown.
Only 20 students were selected, and my son was one of them. To attend this event, a ticket is required for each student. After my son's school session ended at 1pm, we got ready and rushed to the Community Hall at 2pm.
Actually, we are already late for the event because it started at 2pm. However, our house is located more than 7 miles away from the Sandakan Community Hall. It takes about half an hour to get there.
After dropping off my son there, my mother and I went back home. We needed to pick up my son from the event at 4pm. It seemed like we only had a brief rest at home because the time was already showing 3pm when we reached home.
This time, my daughter joined us, and we rushed back to the Community Hall. The road was getting more congested now. Perhaps some people were already on their way back from work.
We rarely come down to the area of the Community Hall because it is far from our home. However, I don't feel like it's a waste of time because we get to see the beautiful view of the sea. This is the view at the side of the Community Hall.
After arriving, we parked and walked a bit further because there was no free parking nearby. Luckily, the sun was shining that day because it is the rainy season.
As soon as we get near we can hear music and people singing, we went straight into the hall and saw a singing and dancing performances. At the same time, I took the opportunity to take pictures of the school children's paintings that were displayed for sale.
I am trying to understand the symbolic meaning of this painting. However, until now, I have not been able to fully comprehend what the painter is trying to convey. Nevertheless, this painting has caught my attention.
This is a painting of a crocodile and also a crocodile leather belt. Perhaps the painter is simply illustrating how concerned we should be if this crocodile species were to become extinct due to human actions.
I like the way the painter portrays the puzzle and the dragon in this painting. There must be a hidden message behind each painting here.
There were also small booths that provided handicrafts made by school students. These are some pictures that I took that day.
After 4.30pm, the event ended, and my son and his school friends came down from the first floor of the hall, and we went home. It was a good experience for fans of arts and handicrafts.
I hope that my son will be more exposed to things like this, just like his sister who is also an artist. I am very grateful that my son is very active. This was his activity before he went camping last Saturday.
For those who have been following my progress on Ecency Waves, you may be aware of my son's activities. I want to express my gratitude to those who take the time to read my blog regularly. I hope that your days are filled with joy and gratitude. Thank you so much and God Bless. 🙏

That looks like quite the affair, it is neat attending your children's school events; that takes me back and reminds me of the times we went to at my children's affairs at the schools. Looks and sounds like it was an extremely enjoyable event.
And the other children's paintings are very good for young people!
That's true. I also haven't attended any school events for a long time. When I had the chance the other day, it felt like a different experience. It was really enjoyable. I left school nearly 20 years ago. How I missed it now. 🤭
