The Campo Elias Palace.

Hello friends of Hive, today I want to talk to this wonderful team but not before reiterating again my thanks to @soychalbed, so I can reach you in my new post. This is a building that dates back many years of my city very beautiful and gives a historical touch that characterizes it, as a Victorian fills me with pride and I am happy to tell you a little of its history. I hope you find it interesting, enjoyable and somewhat refreshing.

On a recent weekend morning, I decided to walk through the streets of my beautiful town called "La Cuidad de la Juventud", in La Victoria, Aragua State. Arriving at the historic center a little tired I sat on a bench in my favorite square called "Campo Elias", where many people used to visit it for its lush trees and its charming squirrels, where you can also enjoy delicious churros and cotufas. Immediately the first thing that caught our attention was the majestic "Palacio Campo Elias", which does not go unnoticed by those who pass through its surroundings.

Noting that after many years of neglect, where all its surroundings are in deterioration, the recent and current mayoral administration have been evoked to its unexpected restoration, having the purpose that the children's symphony orchestra of La Victoria resume their study headquarters giving it back its deserved appearance, for being a very beautiful place and very proud for the citizens.

Looking for a little history of this palace it is said that it was built in 1904, at the beginning of the 20th century by the President of the Republic Cipriano Castro, it is said that by orders of President Cipriano Castro he asked that its construction be more beautiful than the Miraflores Palace.
It is located between Campo Elías and Loreto avenues, in La Victoria, Aragua State, proud to be from this city where I was born.

It is said that it was used as the private residence of the president, General Cipriano Castro. Another interesting fact was that years later General Juan Vicente Gomez changed the name of the building and the square. At the beginning the Campo Elías Palace was known as "La Casa Castro". According to the year 1909 it became a barracks, something that particularly caught my attention was that the future presidents Marcos Pérez Jiménez and Wolfgang Larrazàbal were cadets in its classrooms. There was a Catholic congregation that used this space as a "Reformatory for young ladies" for many years. By the way, according to a septuagenarian, he argued that they should never have taken it away from the nuns, since he had it as a little piece of silver. Years later its facilities were used as the headquarters of the Venezuelan Military School in 1928. As time went by, it became the "Ramón García de Sena" School. In 1990 it was declared a Municipal Historical Monument. At the end of 1993 it was the seat of the Francisco Javier Uztàriz School, an institution that reminds me a lot of my time as a student because it was visited by me and a group of classmates from my school, since they studied beautiful girls. It was also the headquarters of the Mayor's Office of the Municipality José Félix Ribas, in 2017 it became the headquarters of the National Symphony Orchestra for Children and Youth.

Talking with some gentlemen already of very advanced ages who frequent this square, I took the opportunity to collect information of this emblematic castle, which in a very pleasant way usually talk among other topics a little history and myths, they comment that according to appear through the corridors the fright of a nun, and the existence of several networks of tunnels that communicate with various sites of our city, as is the Plaza Ribas and the Matriz Church, located several meters from there. It is said that by orders of President Cipriano Castro, he asked that its construction be more beautiful than the Miraflores Palace.

After a beautiful day of research and learning where without a doubt I came up with the brilliant idea of investigating about knowing more about the history of my beautiful town, which I would like to share with you these remembrances.

El Palacio Campo Elias.
Hola amigos de Hive , hoy quiero hablarles a éste maravilloso equipo no sin antes reiterar de nuevo mi agradecimiento a @soychalbed, para asi poder llegar a ustedes en mi nuevo post . Se trata de una edificacion que data de muchísimo años de mi ciudad muy hermosa y que le da un toque historico que la caracteriza , como victoriano me llena de orgullo y me alegra poder contarles un poco de su historia. Espero le sea interesante , grata y algo refrescante.

En una mañana de un recién fin de semana, decidí irme caminando por las calles de mi hermosa pueblo llamado "La Cuidad de la Juventud", en La Victoria, Estado Aragua. Al llegar al casco histórico un poco cansado me senté en un banco de mi plaza preferida llamada "Campo Elias", donde muchas personas acostumbran visitarla por su frondosos árboles y de sus encantadoras ardillas, donde también se deleita de ricos churros y cotufas . De inmediato lo primero que llamó la atención fué el majestuoso "Palacio Campo Elias", que no pasa por desapercibido por los que transitamos por sus alrededores.

Notando que después de mucho tiempo de dejadez, donde todo su entorno se encuentra en deterioro , el recién y actual gestión de alcalde se han evocado a su inesperada restauración, teniendo la finalidad de que la orquesta sinfonica infantil de La Victoria retome su sede de estudio dándole de nuevo su apariencia merecida, por ser un lugar muy hermoso y de mucho orgullo para los ciudadanos.

Buscando un poco de historia de este palacio se dice que fué construído en 1904, al principio del siglo xx por el presidente de la República Cipriano Castro.Se comenta que por órdenes del presidente Cipriano Castro pidió que su construcción fuera más bella que el Palacio de Miraflores.
Ubicada entre las calles Campo Elías y la avenida Loreto,en La Victoria Estado Aragua, orgulloso de ser de ésta ciudad donde yo nací.

Se dice que fue utilizada como residencia particular del presidente,el general Cipriano Castro. Otro dato muy interesante fué que años después el general Juan Vicente Gómez cambió el nombre de la edificación y de la plaza . Al principio el palacio Campo Elías era conocido como "La Casa Castro". Según en el año 1909 pasó a ser Cuartel, algo que en lo particular me llamó la atención fue que en sus aulas fueron cadetes los futuros presidentes Marcos Pérez Jiménez y Wolfgang Larrazàbal . Existió una congregación católica que usaron este espacio como un "Reformatorio para Señorita" , por muchos años. Por cierto según relatos de un septuagenario argumentó que nunca debieron quitárselo a las monjas, ya que lo tenía como una tasita de plata. Años más adelante utilizaron sus instalaciones como sede de la Escuela Militar de Venezuela en el año 1928. Al transcurrir de los tiempos paso a funcionar como el Colegio "Ramón García de Sena". En el año 1990 fué declarado Monumento Histórico Municipal . A finales de 1993 es sede del colegio Francisco Javier Uztàriz, Institución que me recuerda mucho mi tiempo de estudiante por ser muy visitados por mi persona y un grupo de compañeros de mi colegio, ya que estudiaban lindas chicas.. También fué sede de la Alcaldía del Municipio José Félix Ribas.En el año 2017 pasó a ser sede de la Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional Infantil y Juvenil .

Conversando con unos señores ya de edades muy avanzadas que frecuentan esta plaza, aproveché para recaudar información de éste emblemático castillo , que de una manera muy amena suelen hablar entre otros temas un poco de historia y mitos, comentan que según se aparece por los pasillos el espanto de una monja y de la existencia de varias redes de túneles que se comunican con diversos sitios de nuestra ciudad , como lo es la Plaza Ribas y la Iglesia Matriz, ubicada a varios metros de allí. Se comenta que por órdenes del presidente Cipriano Castro pidió que su construcción fuera más bella que el Palacio de Miraflores.

Después de un hermoso día de investigación y aprendizaje dónde sin duda alguna se me vino de manifiesto la brillante idea de indagar acerca de conocer más de historia de mi bello pueblo, el cual me gustaría compartir con ustedes éstas remembranza.
