Historical architecture or fort called "Cuartel Mariano Montilla".(ING/ESP)

Before starting with my post I want to send a fraternal greeting to each member of this dynamic community of hivers. In my new writing I will talk about a topic that has always caught my attention as it is the emblematic places of my heroic city of La Victoria, where in every corner of its sides are embodied a great history of our beautiful Venezuela, this time I refer to an architectural work or fort called Cuartel Montilla.

This architectural work is built mostly with stones acquired in nearby rivers. It is said that this construction was ordered by President Cipriano Castro and began in 1904 and in 1937 it was inaugurated by the President of the Republic Eleazar Lopez Contreras who also called it La Casa del Soldado (The Soldier's House). The architect Luis Mantellini was in charge of the project. It has served as headquarters of different military units. This monument is closely linked to General Cipriano Castro, a very popular character in the history of Venezuela.

It can be said that the Mariano Montilla Barracks will continue to be of great prestige and an icon of great relevance for this city of La Victoria, Aragua state, which by the way according to history was the scene of the last triumph of Francisco de Miranda. It is one of the most emblematic architectural monuments of our city. It was declared a National Historic Monument for its architectural beauty by the President of the Republic Carlos Andres Perez in 1978, by presidential decree.

At the present time it is the headquarters of the School of Professional Troops of the General Army "José Félix Ribas". It was the headquarters of several Army battalion units, such as the 5 de Julio Battalion, the Urdaneta Battalion, El Paez, Carabobo, Cedeño and Bravos de Apures among others, and in 1955 it belonged to the Army School of Military Bands.

This historic place has been characterized by its musical notes intoned by the military in their daily practices, creating an atmosphere of harmony when passing through its surroundings where it unquestionably marks the distinction. Where also in many occasions it has been the main venue where the candidates for the election of the reign of the bride of the youth are presented, a tradition that has been maintained for many years.

At Christmas time in its imposing square located in front of the barracks has been the scene of many musical groups of aguinaldo and gaitas cheering the Victorians. It is worth mentioning that inside its facilities there is a celebration hall where it has been characterized by its elegant installation, being very popular for weddings and Quinceañera celebrations, preferably.

Arquitectura histórica o fortín llamado "Cuartel Mariano Montilla".

Antes de empezar con mi post quiero hacerle llegar un saludo fraternal para cada miembro de ésta dinámica comunidad de hivers. En mi nuevo escrito les voy a hablar de un tema que siempre me ha llamado la atención como lo es los lugares emblemático de mi heroica ciudad de La Victoria, donde en cada rincón de sus costados están plasmado un gran historial de nuestra hermosa Venezuela, en ésta oportunidad me refiero a una obra arquitectónica o fortín llamado Cuartel Montilla.

Esta obra arquitectónica está construida en su mayor parte con piedras adquiridas en ríos cercanos . Se dice que dicha construcción fué ordenada por el presidente Cipriano .Castro y se dió inicio en el año 1904 y en el año 1937 fué inaugurada por el Presidente de la República Eleazar López Contreras quien la llamó también La Casa del Soldado. El actor del proyecto fue el arquitecto Luis Mantellini . Ha servido como sede de diferentes unidades militares . Este monumento está muy ligado al General Cipriano Castro, personaje muy popular de la historia de Venezuela .

Se puede decir que el Cuartel Mariano Montilla seguirá siendo de gran prestigio y un icono de mucha relevancia para esta ciudad de la Victoria estado Aragua, que por cierto según la historia fue escenario del último triunfo de Francisco de Miranda. Es uno de los monumentos arquitectónicos más emblemáticos de nuestra ciudad. Fué declarado Monumento Histórico Nacional por su belleza arquitectónica por el presidente de la República Carlos Andrés Pérez en el año 1978 , por decreto presidencial.

En la actualidad es la sede de la Escuela de Tropas Profesionales del Ejército General "José Félix Ribas". Fué sede de varias unidades de batallones del Ejército, tales como El Batallón 5 de Julio, El Batallón Urdaneta, El Paez , Carabobo, Cedeño y Bravos de Apures entre otros.En el año 1955 pertenece a la Escuela de Bandas Militares del Ejército .

Éste histórico lugar se ha caracterizado por sus notas musicales que entonan los militares en sus prácticas diarias escenificando un ambiente de mucha armonía al pasar por sus alrededores donde indiscutiblemente marca la distinción . Donde también en muchas ocasiones a sido sede principal donde son presentadas las candidatas de la elección al reinado de la novia de la juventud, tradición que se ha mantenido por muchos años.

En fechas decembrinas en su imponente plaza situada gusto al frente del cuartel ha sido escenario de muchas agrupaciones musicales de aguinaldo y gaitas alegrando a Los Victorianos . Cabe destacar que en el interior de sus instalaciones se encuentra un salón de festejo donde se ha caracterizado por su elegante instalación, siendo muy concurrido para celebración de Matrimonio y quince años preferiblemente.
