Travel Back to Cebu - After a Month Long Vacation in Laguna, Philippines

And so our family vacation has finally come to an end. Last Sunday, December 16 at 5:30 PM was our flight back to Cebu. It was a month long stay with my in-laws in Sta. Cruz, Laguna. We made most of our time while there. Spend it with family.

We had a lot of activities as a family which I will share to you in my next posts. Our children enjoyed it to the point that they don't want to go back to Cebu anymore. LOL. As much as we want to stay long, we can't. My husband needs to report to work. We explained it to them that we will just come back when time and our budget permits again.

All Our Bags Are Packed and Ready to Go

We rented a van as our ride to the airport. Sta. Cruz,, Laguna is a two-hour drive to the Manila International Airport. The driver, who happened to be a relative of my mother-in-law, was so kind that he took us for a quick tour to some beautiful places in Metro Manila.

Prior to our travel, we had a special request to the driver that we want to drop-by the Manila Philippines Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Green Meadows Quezon City. And so it was our first stop.

At the Manila Philippines Temple...

It was Sunday and the Temple is closed. We can't get inside the temple grounds, so we had a few photos just outside its gate. Our children wanted to see the temple. We had one here in Cebu yet they also wanted to see the temple in Manila. It was there first time to see it in person.

With us were my in-laws. They sent us off to the airport. Next stop was at the Venice Piazza, Taguig.

The place was beautiful. Amazing architectural design. Too bad, we didn't have much time to explore the place. Kids were not allowed inside too. Manila is under alert level 3 because of the covid-19.

After Venice Piazza, we then headed to the airport. But not quiet yet, we stopped at the airport parking lot to eat our lunch. We bought some food for lunch along our way to Manila.

Our hungry stomach were now filled then it is time to say goodbye and need to check in.

We were all teary-eyed. We will surely miss everyone. We will be back soon!

Inside the airport...

There were many passengers too checking in. It took us an hour of waiting for our turn.

Our flight was on time. No delays. When we arrived at the waiting lounge, we just waited for few minutes then it was time for boarding.

We had a safe and smooth travel back to Cebu. We also had our pre ordered meal during the flight.

It was past 7PM when we reached our home. Cleaning needs to be done before we can all retire to our beds. Thank God, our house is intact after the typhoon Odette. It was exactly a month ago when it hit Cebu. We prayed as a family and give thanks for sparing our home and keeping us safe on our travels.
