Happy Birthday Janeah!

This is quite a long overdue post but nonetheless I want to share with you how we celebrated our youngest daughter's birthday last August. Children are always excited when their birthdays come. For Janeah it is not different. Weeks before her special day she was really excited for it. We ask her what she wanted to eat on that day. It is our family tradition to prepare some food as part of the simple celebration.

We always work around a budget for this kind of occasion. So the day came at so did some presents from our close neighbor. She was asked by our close friend neighbor what she wanted too. By the way this neighbor of ours is just like family to us. They always got something for our children especially on special occasions.

They prepared delicious creamy spaghetti and gave Janeah a new purple dress!

In addition to the spaghetti, I made a DIY birthday cake out of store bought cupcakes. I had stored a Happy Birthday cake topper and a candle. We also had fried chicken.

We sang to her a Happy Birthday song and let her blow the candle.

That was how simple our celebration. We had a family prayer thanking our Heavenly Father for the gift of life He gave to our little one. We are grateful! We had this at lunch.

At night...

We actually had like a whole day of celebration because at dinner time, Janeah wanted to have her favorite chocolate drink at Jollibee! 😁 So we were off to Jollibee to buy her the drink of which everyone in the family had their treats too! 😂

I mean who doesn't want a sweet treat, right? 😁 It was indeed a happy birthday!

We ended the day with another prayer of gratitude. We were giving thanks for another year and good health.
