Hello community of empowered women. Answering the second question in this week's quiz What would you prefer: to be able to see the future or to be able to see the past? I definitely prefer...to see neither.

We have the ability to recall the past whenever we want. To bring back to our present the memory of the things that gave us joy and happiness at a particular time. To sometimes think about the bad and sad moments to reflect on them...and even, to cry again. To "look back" in some way at what we did to analyze where we went wrong and rectify. And thus avoid making the same mistakes.

That's what the past is for, to remember and learn, but I would not like to have the ability to see it as if I were living it again. What is past is past and it only has to remain as a time lived and full of teachings.

Even less I would like to see the future. I am not interested at all in unveiling that mystery...to know what is going to happen tomorrow. That uncertainty gives us the impulse to live to the fullest. That not knowing what is to come somehow fires us up. It keeps intact the need to improve ourselves, to be better, to change constantly. It keeps the hope that everything can be better.

So it ended how I started, I definitely would not want to see the future, nor would I want to see the past. I prefer to live today, to enjoy the present. It doesn't matter what's going to happen tomorrow, or next week, or next year or a decade from now. What has to be will be.

My past is the result of the decisions I made and so will be my future. Therefore, I can only try not to make past mistakes in my present and hope with enthusiasm that what life has in store for me will always be better than what I have lived.

Hola comunidad de mujeres empoderadas. Respondiendo a la segunda pregunta del concurso de esta semana ¿Qué preferirías: poder ver el futuro o poder ver el pasado? Definitivamente prefiero...no ver ninguno de los dos.

Tenemos la capacidad de rememorar el pasado cada vez que queramos. Traer a nuestro presente el recuerdo de las cosas que nos dieron alegría y felicidad en un momento determinado. Pensar a veces en los momentos malos y tristes para reflexionar sobre ellos...e incluso, volver a llorar. "Mirar" de alguna manera lo que hicimos para analizar en qué nos equivocamos y rectificar. Y así evitar cometer los mismos errores.

Para eso sirve el pasado, para recordar y aprender, pero no me gustaría tener la capacidad de verlo como si estuviera viviéndolo de nuevo. Ya lo pasado, pasado está y solo tiene que quedarnos como tiempo vivido y lleno de enseñanzas.

Aún menos me gustaría ver el futuro. No me interesa para nada develar ese misterio....saber que va a pasar mañana. Esa incertidumbre nos da impulso para vivir a plenitud. Ese desconocimiento de lo que viene, de alguna manera nos enciende.
Mantiene intacta la necesidad de superarnos, de ser mejores, de cambiar constantemente. Mantiene la esperanza de que todo puede ser mejor.

Así que terminó cómo empecé, definitivamente no quisiera ver el futuro, ni tampoco el pasado. Prefiero vivir hoy, disfrutar el presente. No importa lo que va a pasar mañana, ni la semana que viene, ni el año próximo o dentro de una década. Lo que tiene que ser será.

Mi pasado es el resultado de las decisiones que tomé y así mismo será mi futuro. Por lo tanto solo queda tratar de no cometer en mi presente los errores pasados y esperar con entusiasmo que lo que me deparará la vida siempre va a ser mejor que lo vivido.
