Does anybody find it odd that a US presidential candidate is promoting their own token sale?

I simply cannot believe how people continue to trust politicians that simply care only for their own interest. Such meme coins are doomed to go to zero and they only have a short-lived hyped life. That's why I am staying far away from tokens without real use cases.

it’s not a meme coin.. He’s promoting a token for his own DeFi project

I understand, but from experience I will keep my sentiment even in that case. I've hardly saw net positive (for most of the participants) on DeFi projects and too many pull rugs to consider them without any true innovation and trust of the development team.

i do not have problem with Donald Trump creating his own token , but where I will have problem with that is if the coin have no use case , more like a pump and dump coin..

I am indifferent about the whole thing , as for me I think seeing him promoting his own token is like an evidence to me that he is a kind of president that will embrace crypto , and that is the kind of leaders I want

A candidate should promote their their own token only IF it its whitepaper is genuine and the token project is not a ponzi scheme in disguise
