I Am In Business To Do Business; New Goals

After 10 Months On Hive You Would Think...

This can be embarrassing and frustrating, a real two-for or twofer (Detroit Accent) if you will. I know you need Hive Tokens staked or powered up to do things on the various Hive Engine Dapps. I thought okay get 100 or so hive and build up those community tokens, because "Community is King".

I am not completely wrong but I am not exactly right. Please do not think me to be some kind of authority because I am not. Do not take this as financial advice.

To have a decent vote in a community than having a bunch of that token staked is necessary. It also communicates to the community that you have some skin in the game. However, without a decent amount of Hive Power (staked hive), you will not be able to post very many comments, articles, and videos.

If Community is King, The Hive is Queen

There are a few people here on Hive that have taken their Hive activities into a massively profitable business. They were kind enough to give me some advice. The one thing they all agree on get really active in the communities. They are talking about upvoting and commenting. This is golden advice.

Upon taking the advice I notice my resource credits keep dropping. I ask a couple of questions in The CryptoManiacs podcast. Both @jongolson & @taskmaster4450 agreed that with enough Hive I will never have to worry about resource credits again.

I included a link to Jon's CTPTalk article just click the picture and it will play the episode. I have a few thousand various community tokens, and only a few hundred Hive between two accounts.

New Goals

This new goal takes priority over everything else. The reason for that is I really do not want to be a beginner forever. I am not talking about acting or faking it. I am talking about creating content every day until my Resource Credits get down to 80%. Reinvest 100% of Hive into Hive Power until each account reaches 1,000 Hive Power.

One Thousand Hive Power will enable me to create, and comment as much as I want. It will also give my upvotes and also my curation rewards much more value.

Once this goal is achieved I will go back to 50% Hive Power leaving the other 50% to gain more community tokens. In that way, the Hive Power Community Power will be at a more even balance.

Balance is Good & Profitable

Having a lot of Hive Power but no community power (staked community tokens) is no good, and neither is the reverse. I need to be able to build up both at an even pace. Currently, I have thousands more community tokens in both accounts. Getting to 1,000 Hive Power will help to make resources more available.

Of course, I want to add a lot more details to this article. After seeing how I can misunderstand things so badly, it occurs to me to keep my mouth shut, and learn more, observe more, take better notes.

Resource Credits from my point of view are easy to misunderstand and misuse.

Thank you for reading 😃

Awesome man keep up the hard work and always remember that to be successful on Hive you have to forget about the money and focus on finding where you fit in. It took me a long time to realize this because I am usually a loner on here.

Since getting into Hive Punks I feel like I have gotten to know a lot of people better on Hive and am also trying to make more of an effort to curate and comment more often.

That never would have occurred to me. I am also a loner and socially awkward. Finding where I fit in is important. Things are about to get better 😀
