Last Wednesday, 03/27/2024, we all got up very early and happy, to go to the Dr Armando Castillo Plaza Maternity Hospital, because the day had arrived when we would meet my second grandson, who was born through a cesarean section.

My daughter had to register for the emergency, she had begun to dilate 4 centimeters, although her cesarean section was scheduled for that day, she had to follow the protocol, her obstetrician-gynecologist and her teacher, Dr. Fuad, were waiting for her there.

As expected in most public hospitals in the country, the lack of supplies is present, which is why patients must bring them. My daughter had been given a list in advance indicating everything she had to bring. . Fortunately, at work my son-in-law Miguel donated almost all the supplies and he only bought a few things that were needed from the list.

Furthermore, because it is a public hospital, the companions must wait outside, the maternity area is restricted to patients only, so they must enter alone, which made me anxious and expectant of what would be happening inside, when delivering the supplies or medicines, if they allow a female family member to enter, they do not allow men to enter, unless it is visiting time and through the main door.

So I took the box and went in to help my daughter carry it to the box where they would check that everything on the list was there. I also had the opportunity to meet the very kind doctor by the way.

Then my daughter had to wait in the waiting room to be called until they admitted her, at which point she told me that she had to wait outside again, then a nurse came out to give me her clothes and they were going to prepare her to go to the operating room and also to be able to bring her the baby's clothes and diapers, an opportunity that I couldn't pass up to be able to go see her.

Thank God, Andreina, one of her undergraduate classmates, was waiting in the operating room and kept me informed of everything, although she couldn't send me photos, they are prohibited from doing so. I was able to know when she had already taken her in and when my grandson was born, her weight and size, it was an indescribable emotion, my tears rolled down my face.

Later in recovery, still not being able to see them, they told me that they needed a blanket to protect her from the cold, they let me in and I went up to the operating rooms, but only to the door, I knew I wasn't going to see them yet, but I got a surprise, they were taking out to Maximiliano and then they allowed me to see him and even take a photo of him. My daughter was still recovering.

After 3 in the afternoon they told me that they were taking my daughter to the room and that I could go in to dress her, here I was also surprised, the room was very nice and well equipped.

Mi hija debía ingresar por la emergencia, aunque su cesárea estaba programada, había a comenzadk a dilatar 4 centimetros, había que seguir el protocolo y habia que seguirlo, alli la estaba esperando su medico gineco-obstetra y profesor el Dr Fuad.

Como era de esperarse en la mayoría de los hospitales públicos del país, la falta de insumos, se hace presente razón por la cual los pacientes deben traerlos, a mi hija con anticipación le habían entregado una lista donde le indicaban todo lo que tenía que traer, afortunadamente en el trabajo mi yerno Miguel le donaron casi todos los insumos y solo compró algunas cosas que hacían falta de la lista.

También por ser un hospital público los acompañantes deben esperar a fuera el área de la maternidad es restringida solo para pacientes asi que deben entrar solas, cosa que me tenia aniosa y a la expectativa de que estará pasando allá adentro, al momento de entregar los insumos o medicamentos si le permiten entrar a un familiar del sexo femenino, no le permiten la entrada de hombres, a menos que fuese hora de visita y por la puerta principal.

Así que tome la caja y entre yo para ayudar a mi hija a llevarlo a la casilla donde revisarán que todo lo de la lista estuviese allí, también tuve la oportunidad de conocer al doctor muy amable por cierto.

Luego mi hija debía esperar en la sala de espera para ser llamada hasta que hicieran su ingreso, en este momento me dice que tengo esperar afuera otra vez, luego salío un enfermo para entregarme su ropa ya la iban a preparar para ir a quirofano y también para que le llevara la ropita del bebé y pañales, oportunidad que no me perdía para poder entrar y verla.

Gracias a Dios en quirofano la esperaba Andreina una de sus compañeras de pregrado y me mantenía informada de todo, aunque no podía pasarme fotos, lo tienen prohibido. Pude saber cuando ya la había subido y momento en que ya mi nieto había nacido el peso y la talla, fue una emoción indescriptible mis lágrimas rodaron por mi rostro.

Después en recuperaracion, todavía sin poder verlos, me dicen que necesitan una cobija para abrigarla del frío, me dejaron entrar y subí hasta quirofanos, pero solo hasta la puerta, yo sabía que no iba a verlos aún, pero me llevé una sorpresa estaban sacando a Maximiliano y entonces me permitieron verlo y hasta tomarle una foto., mi hija se encuentraba en recuperación todavía.

Ya pasadas las 3 de la tarde, me indicaron que mi hija la llevaban a la habitación y que ahora si podía entrar para vestirla, aquí también quede sorprendida, la habitación estaba muy bonita y bien acondicionada.
