IS THE GOOD SIDE OF SOCIAL MEDIA MINIMAL TO ME?

Talking about the pros and cons of social media in my life, I always reason how this can be to be left out of the social world and not just do something pertaining to online stuff because it will look as if one is been isolated and before going deeper into the post what does the pros and cons really means, It is the benefit which one can actually gain from doing something and can be seen as an advantage while the cons mean the detriment of doing something which is the disadvantage.

OVERVIEW

Now looking at the pros and cons of the social media, we will like to look at it together in different perspective and angle.
Social media is a place where you see the world at large, getting to know what is going on currently and never be left out of doing what is best to do, some of the social media that i know and i have come across are facebook which has been in existence since i was very very young, and also there is this one which is called 2go at our end here which the young ones then do use and it can actually work on very small phone then, also whatsapp came in, twitter, Instagram, tiktok, snapchat, linkdine and so on. All this has their advantage and also disadvantages because there is nothing in existence that do not have two side benefits.

PROS

Some of the pros of social media and how it has affected me is the part of connecting with people from all over the world, i am a type of person that really love music and having a social media account is a must for Me likewise posting different musical content and i have been able to meet fellow like minds who we have shared things in common also not only the fact that i am a music person, I have been able to learn through social media because i remember when i was in my second year in the university, i usually do go online especially youtube in other to search for tutorials about the topics which the lecturers have taught and they seem too difficult to assimilate then different tutors online have been able to provide answers to that. They are also know for memories just like my facebook account which i posted some pictures years back and i could no longer get access to them on my phone i checked the facebook post and i saw that they are still online there where i stored them.

They are for relaxations and also entertainment because there is no type of content which you will find online and you won't come across on social media.

Cons

As there is benefit likewise disadvantages and this really tell starting from the younger generations who are really addicted to social media and looking at the view of learning and a student decided to use the phone and in search for what to learn started watching reels online, this really happened to me also most times i wanted to study online and i decided to use the internet, I will always end up doing another thing there which i will later study but waste more time there than studying.

The fact that it is not only in that aspect alone, Information are easily spread on social media even more than the television and radio news and false information are quickly spread which can mislead a lot of people within seconds and it will be hard to change their view in that aspect. I remember when i was about applying for my admission exam and i got an information that the form is closed which i was yet to get my own but the real fact is that the form was still out thank God i contacted the right source and i was able to get the real information which made me obtain the form. Social has been the home for cyber crime as that is more rampant among younger ones and they don't see it as a bad option because it is the social media, a lot of discrimination on socialmedia which has led more people to do what they do not want to do before but the social media made it happen.
