Myths people tend to believe when being in a romantic relationship

Hi everyone! The fact that we have been wrapped in fairytales, cartoons, and bedtimes stories from early ages is not something to ignore, given that these aspects can shape the forthcoming adult.

However, keeping up with this mythical reality longer than necessary could affect our love life.

1. Love conquers all
There are issues in every relationship and conflicts are inevitable. People sometimes dream too much and think that if there is love everything can be conquered. However, certain life situations clearly contradict this idea and sometimes lead to separation.

2. Love at first sight
That's great if a relationship starts on a passionate ground and evolves into a mature thing. But that's not always the case and we tend sometimes to see things unclear and being trapped with this passion that only intoxicates us.

3. The one and only
Individuals might lose interest in other persons if they consider only a ''perfect someone'' that obviously doesn't exist. It might be a trap that only leads people to be lonely, sad, and very disappointed with having wasted their life in search of something they never actually find.

4. He/ She fulfills me
That's the idea that the lovers should share all things together (interests, hobbies), be responsible for their partner's happiness, even read his thoughts.

5. Great sex is love
Great sexuality is something to aspire for in a relationship. However, it is also a thing partners have usually to work on even if there is love between them.

6. No one else attracts me
It depends on the couple how it establishes the borders of their relationship. Having affinities with other people might occur without necessary meaning you want to end the relationship.

7. Jealousy is proof of love
Jealousy is rather the expression of possession, fear, and distress in a relationship.
