TOXICITY OF PLANTS
Every plant has toxic effects on the human body system, just depending on the taken dosage and the required dosage for that particular medical condition. In manufacturing drugs, pharmacologists always observe what is being called contraindications and even in drugs being bought by individuals, it can be seen in the leaflet that there are some things that should not be used or taken during the period of taking these drugs because if taken, it would interact with the drugs and cause other medical conditions or disorders. In dealing with herbs, I can tell you that in herbal natural medicine, contraindications are not definite but relative.
The best thing to do is to avoid some certain plants whenever an individual is undergoing some certain situations. Whenever there is a case of hemorrhoids, there are some plants which should not be taken, plants which are classified as purgatives especially the plants with antrachinonic glycosides which normally provoke blood congestion and it also causes swelling of hemorrhoids. Plants like aloe vera and alder buckthorn and even spices like pepper and mustard should also be avoided because they contribute in irritating the anal mucosa in course of stooling. You should also beware of some plants like the coffee which is one of the most commonly used toxic plant in the entire world. This is a very addictive plant because of the caffeine present in it. You all should know also of castor bean seeds, these are very poisonous of which a child taking only three seeds would kill a child. These are very vital information which is essential for every individual. Happy weekend all.
