The Sound of the Sea and the Cries of Seagulls - The Baltic Sea
Hi Hive friends!
Today I want to tell you about one of my favourite places on this planet - a beautiful beach on the Baltic Sea, which - if you don't come on visitor days - can be super quiet and beautiful to reflect and just unwind. I moved from North Rhine-Westphalia to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to study in Rostock, a city of about 200,000 inhabitants with a university and many beautiful beaches on the Baltic Sea. The most popular beach (and also my favourite) is the beach in Warnemünde - it is easy to reach by train from the city centre (it takes about 25 minutes) and has a lot to offer: whether it's water sports like jet skiing in the summer, a tour of the harbour, a ride on a ship's cutter or beach volleyball courts - it has everything your heart desires.I've spent really nice evenings here with friends, for example after exams or when you just felt like the beach and the sea. And I didn't want to deprive you of these pictures of the sunset I took last year in autumn - on one side it was shimmering slightly red behind the cliffs while on the other side it was still yellow - an incredibly beautiful sight! :)
It was a relatively mild autumn day - not too warm but not too cold either. We (a friend and I) went for a long walk on the beach until after sunset when we headed home.
These pictures were taken at the beginning of my studies - when I didn't know yet what was in store for me (- that was a joke, of course :D), I think it was around mid-January, the exam period was just over and we also took a little walk on the beach before we went home for the semester break. As you can see on the pictures, I was very relieved and happy - it was probably a combination of the exams, the beach, the sun and the upcoming holidays! :D
In the summer season, many tourists from all over Germany come to the Baltic Sea - it's not too far away, but you still have a beautiful beach and a holiday feeling. For the many visitors, beach chairs are set up every year, which you can "borrow" for a few euros for a day. When my parents came to visit me once, they often used it - you don't have to carry a tent and you can lie down in the shade and read a book and just listen to the sound of the sea.
Here you have a small view of the lighthouse behind the dunes. From the top you have a beautiful view over the kilometre-wide beach. I hope you liked my post and I was able to give you a little holiday feeling. For me, the sea is a place of peace and quiet, and although I don't always find the time to stroll here during the semester, I didn't want to deprive you of this beautiful place.
Have a great day!

Looks like a really nice beach. The sky is pretty with the clouds and the colors.
