The Two I Don't Mind Watching Forever
Staring at the TV or phone screen is one of the leisure activities that the majority love so much. I don't see myself as qualified if movie lovers are to be awarded, but this doesn't mean I don't watch movies. I do, but it's once in a blue moon for me. Apart from movies or TV shows serving entertainment purposes, some films and series are top-notch as they are packed with all-round necessities ranging from entertainment to great lessons and long-lasting effects on viewers.
Personally, I have watched a lot of movies from childhood until today, which made it a very difficult choice for me to make a pick. But the two I finally decided to write on are "Suits" and a Nigerian film "Afamefuna: A Nwaboi Story." The main reasons for choosing these two are based on my personal preference. For "Suits," I'm a lover of anything, be it a game or movie, that has to do with legal actions.
I love watching anything about lawyers, ethics, and the corporate world. For the Nigerian movie, it resonates with my personality, and watching that movie time and again has had a meaningful impact on my life. The two movies are so great and impactful, they come with great morals of both personal and professional growth, hard work, and a spirit of resilience.
WHAT "SUITS" ENTAILS
"Suits" is a well-known American legal series. It's about a renowned lawyer, Harvey Specter, and his ex-brilliant student Mike Ross, who dropped out of law school but got employed by Harvey to work at his firm.
One of the lessons in this series is talent, passion, and the application of ethics in our professional life. I never understood why I was taught media ethics until I watched this movie. In the life of Mike, regardless of being inexperienced in the formal legal system, his passion was evidence of his growth.
Another lesson is collaboration. I was able to learn that in an office setting, no man should be sidelined and tagged as irrelevant. The movie shows the importance of working together as a team. This was evident in the law firm, and with teamwork, everyone was able to bring in contributions and skills that led to countless collective successes.
This TV series wasn't just entertaining alone but also filled with so many lessons as far as a world where professionalism is important, like the one we are living in. This series has not only helped me in life but also serves as a constant reminder of my own professional conduct in my place of work and any organization I find myself in.
WHAT “Afamefuna: A Nwaboi Story" ENTAILS
From the name, this movie is one that is culturally rooted. It's an Igbo movie about a guy named Afamefuna. It's a movie that centers on balancing culture with modern desires. The movie portrays the rich Igbo culture and stands as a constant reminder of who I am, my roots, and how I should value my cultural heritage.
Lastly, Afamefula's courage and spirit of hard work are another lessons for me. Despite the struggles he encountered in the society he was still determined to become successful, not forgetting his roots and where he comes from. These two movies inspire me and leave a long lasting impact on me, and I believe they will have same in anyone who watches them.
Suit is one of the finest series ever.
Loved the way there's always a solution of problems and the relations between each character.. that indeed had many lessons. I had no idea about the other show.. I'll try to find it!
Yeah, I totally agree with you. The decision making and problem solving approach make it intriguing. For "Afamefuna: The Nwaboi Story" is a great movie that embodies the Igbo cultural heritage. It's a nice story with great lesson of resilience and preseverance.
I really love that movie Afamefuna.
The movie really makes a lot of sense as it teaches a lot of lessons.
Yeah, very very. It's one movie I can choose over and over again
Suits is a series that keeps you hooked from start to finish, with a lot of lessons and strategy, I'm looking forward to the series that will be launched based on suits and perhaps with the old characters
