Splinterlands Fan-Art: Kiara Lightbringer. Weekly Art Contest.
Hello friends.
How are you today?
I'm happy to be here again among you. Today, I've brought another one of my artworks to share with you. I drew a fan-art drawing of a SPLINTERLANDS monster to participate in the weekly art contest arranged by @splinterlands. The name of this monster is KIARA LIGHTBRINGER. I used my coloured pencils and other necessary tools this time. You can also join the contest if you feel interested, I'll put the link to this week's contest at the end.
I'll share the original image and my fan-art version below so you can understand it easily. But, they won't match 100% as I drew it in my way, But, I'm hoping that you're going to like it. I'll start by explaining the process of how I did it step by step.
My Drawing:
Original Image:
Tools:
- A4-sized offset paper.
- 2B pencil.
- 4B pencil.
- Colored Pencils.
- Watercolor.
My Drawing Steps:
At first I sketched the frame/structure of my drawing. Using a 2B pencil. I started with the character's face while I completed the drawing of her eyes too. I wanted the character to make it as simple as possible while giving her a cute look too. Took the character out of her warrior form and made her a cute girl. Hope this looks good.
I used my coloured pencils to draw her eyebrows and the border. Then I used watercolour to draw her skin. Using watercolour gives the skin a smooth tone. You just have to be careful about not touching the pencil colour with watercolour and wait for the watercolour to dry out first.
Now the hair part. First of all, I drew a rainbow band on her hair. To draw her hair I used both colours. First I used watercolour to draw a golden color. I used two layers of yellow colours to bring in the golden look.
After the watercolour dried, I used my coloured pencil to draw her hair. I used the shade drawing method to draw her hair.
As you can see below that I also drew her body skin using watercolour. But to draw the curves/shades/border parts of her body using my coloured pencil.
Final Image:
- ***In this final part I completed the drawing by drawing her dress and necklace Using my coloured pencils.
- Here's another important thing. I took the inspiration for this drawing from one of @alexa.art's post.
