The Matchmaker ....

Ngozi stepped out of her black car and into the hustle bustle streets of Lagos.As the founder and CEO of Yours Connections a very popular matchmaking service she was always on the go,from meeting with clients to attending high and society events.

Her office located in the heart of lekki was a cozy,very well decorated space that speaks warmth.She(Ngozi)took pride in creating an atmosphere that made her clients feel calm,comfortable and always at ease.

As she settled into her chair jer assistant Chiamaka,raced in to announce the arrival of her first client of the day,Tunji.Ngozi quickly ransacked through her files to review who he was,a successful entrepreneur,in his 30's,handsome,charming...this was going to be a fun match to make,she thought to herself.

Tunji walked into the office flashing a bright smile that made Ngozis heart skipped.She quickly maintained her steaze and composed herself fast as she stood up to greet him with a firm handshake.

"Welcome, Tunji. It's great to meet you."

he smiled. "Thanks, Ngozi. Your office is lovely."

Ngozi smiled "Thank you. Please, have a seat."

As they sat down she began to ask Tunji series of questions,all to get to know him better and understand what he was looking for in a partner. Tunji answered thoughtfully also sharing stories about his childhood,his business,his passions,his favorites and all.

Ngozi listened silentlyy,taking notes of every little details.She was impressed by Tunji's sense of humor.

As the meeting came to a close,Mgozi smiled at Tunji. "I think I very well have a good idea of what you're looking for.Leave it to me to work my magic out."
Tunji grinned. "I'm in your hands."hr said jokingly

Over the next few weeks,Ngozi worked tirelessly to find Tunji the perfect match.She checked through the ladies data she had with her,she attended social events,she even asked for the help of her friends and family,as she would not want to disappoint Tunji.

After weeks of searching,Ngozi found her.Her name was Clara,a beautiful,intelligent and charming woman who shared same passions as Tunji.

She was happy,she quickly set up a blind date.
The night of the date arrived and Ngozi was on edge.She have very high hope for this match and couldn't wait to see how it would play out.

As she waited anxiously,expecting a feedback,Ngozi could not shake off the feeling that she had missed something.She had been so and too focused on finding Tunji's perfect match that she hadn't stopped to consider her own feelings,suddenly it hit her hard,she was attracted to Tunji,she had been from the moment he walked into her office,since the first time she set her eyes on him.

Her heart sank,she had never crossed the line with a client before and she didn't know if she was ready to start or do that now

Looking back to her conversations with Tunji,they had talked a lot and it was different from the way she'd interact with other client,she couldn't deny the connection they had shared.Maybe,you know,just maybe,this was an opportunity she couldn't afford to miss.

She became somehow restless,should she hope his date with Clara goes well,she picked up her phone and dialed Tunji's number. "Hey," she said, trying to sound casual. "I wanted to follow up on your date with Clara"

A warm voice responded "Hey,Ngozi the date was great.Clara is really lovely."

Ngozi's heart skipped "That's great," she said, trying to hide her disappointment "I'm glad it worked out."

But as she listened to Tunji's voice,she wasn't ready to give up yet."Tunji," she said, taking a deep breath,and trying not to sound desperate"Can I ask you something?"

"Of course,what is it" he replied

Ngozi's heart was racing. "Do you believe in second chances?" she asked her voice more of a whisper.

There was a pause on the other end of the line. "I do," Tunji said finally. "Why do you ask?"

Ngozi smiled,"No reason," she said. "Just curious,and do you mind a second date in same venue in 30min time,i arranged another,just incase. "

He agreed and that was it,he checked his wristwatch as it kept ticking,then someone showed up after about 40min of him waiting up,well dressed,beautiful, he couldn't believe his eyes as he stood up.. "Ngozi" he said
And that was just the beginning of a beautiful forever story....
