My personal experience; calling vs texting in emergency situations.
During emergency times or moments, every second counts and the decision to call or text can be a crucial one.During those moments, our minds can go blank,we tend not to think clearly,we either forgot what we save number as,or kept scrolling through our phones without finding that contact. I have had my experiences with emergencies,so I can definitely relate,so calling or texting, huhm both are effective, but let's see my view of these, fromy own personal experience.
When it comes to emergencies communication, there are several things to consider.Firstly,is the nature of the incident or emergency itself. If someone life is in danger then calling is usually the best option, that is is because calls are generally given priority over texts and emergency services can respond more quickly to a call,in addition calls allow for real communication and can be very effective in life threatening cases,on the other hand if the emergency is not life threatening, texting is a better option, they are less intrusive and they can be sent very easily and quickly even in situations where making a call is not possible.
In my own experience I found that texting can be a highly effective way to communicate in emergency situations.I recall a situation where I was involved in a car accident on a very busy highway. The car was badly damaged,I was shaken and scared but thankfully i was not onjured. My first instinct was to call my family to let them know what happened and that I was safe as I reached for my phone I realized that the traffic was much and we were stuck in the middle of the road.
I quickly sent a text message to my family, and some constact very fast, letting them know,i tried calling but it wasn't going through, I opted for a text. One of us also tried calling the police to report the accident but the line was busy, and couldn't get through. In that moment, texting proved to be the more effective mode of communication. It allows for sending a message to multiple people at once without having to worry about getting a busy response.
While calling is also very more effective in emergency situations texting has several advantages, texts are less likely to be dropped or disconnected which can be a major problem in emergency situations, texts can be sent easily and quickly even in situations where making a call is not possible. This can be especially important in situations where every second counts.
There was a time there's this robbery incident on the way traveling,it was all chaos,as they kept a good eye on us,all of us kneeling down, they searched and all, thankfully i had a small phone and I was in the middle,so people were covering me..to call at that moment would be the most worse decision to make,I took my time to think, should I call and not talk so whoever is on the other end would hear all what those robbers are saying and understand my situation.. NO.
I opted for text that way,it would be better,If I call and all they are hearing are that without me speaking they might thought something else has happened to me and get scared and all...so I looked around while typing to message some certain contacts, added the location and asked them to get through to find a way to get through to a nearby police station,so we could receive help, and that was the best, the text was simple and straightforward. And help did come later.
Texts can be sent to multiple people which can be helpful in emergency situations where multiple people need to be notified.
Despite the advantages of texting, there are still situations where calling is the better option. If a life is in danger calling is usually the best option. This is because calls are generally given priority over texts, and even emergency services respond more quickly to a call.
Furthermore calls can provide a level of emotional support and comfort that texts cannot. You can receive some sort of comfort, care and all during calls, which can calm you and help you handle through the situation before other help comes.
In emergency situations it is not alsways just about conveying information but about providing reassurances also.
The decision to call or text in emergency situations depends on the nature of the emergency itself. While calling is often the more used way to communicate in emergency situations texting has several advantages too like being less likely to not deliver or send. However in situations where it concerns life, calling is usually the best option. The aim is that or to be able to get the help we need when it matters most....
So access the situation well, and choose what's best, either to call or text.

Great analogy. For me, text fares better. Even when I'm in places I may not respond promptly to calls, I will always respond to text messages.
Exactly, even when you busy,to go through a pop up text is easy,if it calls you might postpone it, or just silence it.
I love that we share same opinion.... Thanks🙇
