THE STATUE OF ORPHEUS THAT WELCOMES THE GUESTS OF MY CITY

Last year, in August, I told you about the tomb of Orpheus, which is located in the Eastern Rhodopes, 30km away from the town where I live.
According to legend, Orpheus lived here and died here.
This majestic statue of Orpheus is towering at the entrance to the town of Kardzhali. It is impossible not to notice it when entering the town.
When I came to live in the city of Kardzhali, I liked to go to the statue with my friends in the evening and sit on the bench and talkind and watching the lights of the city. The place is really very romantic and beautiful and the huge floodlights that illuminate the statue contribute to that.
Kardzhali city has another impressive symbol related to Orpheus and this is the "Lyre of Orpheus", it is located next to the bus station in the middle of the big roundabout.
Undoubtedly, this area is associated with the mythical king of the Thracians - Orpheus.
