Oat Pancakes, Cleaning and Shopping
Hello my dear friends. I'm so happy to greet you all. I'm starting my post today with my breakfast preparations. I made oat pancakes. My friends had recommended trying them. I’d known about it for a while, but only decided to give it a go a few days agoand I loved it so much that it’s now my favorite breakfast option. I’m making it for the third time nowand I think I’ll keep making it until I get tired of it.
Here's the recipe: I wash the oats, using one tablespoon of oats for each egg. I add the egg, salt it, mixand pour it into a lightly greased pan.
I cover the pan to cook the other side, so it dries out a bit and doesn’t stay too soft or moist. I prefer it this way.
Then I spread some cream cheese with cottage cheese on top of the pancake and add bananas. The banana version makes it a sweet option. I eat it with coffeeand it’s really delicious. If you haven’t tried it yet, I definitely recommend it. You could also replace the banana with ham or cheese. I think that would be great, too.
Today I also wanted to mention the new humidifier I bought. Dry air is definitely a problem that needs to be addressed because it affects health, causes skin to dry outand even affects plants.
I have some indoor plants in my bedroom that love humidity. Our humidifier is very compactand adding water is easy since it fills from the top. You can monitor the water level through a translucent plastic tank. Another feature I love about this model is that it can also work as a night light, running as a humidifier and a light at the same time. It alerts us when the water level is low and stops automatically if it runs out.
I also did something I’ve wanted to do for a while: I organized the fridge. It had gotten pretty messy, as I hadn’t been able to tend to it while the kids were sick. Despite how chaotic it looked, I didn’t clean it completely. I just wiped and organized everything. I don’t like my fridge to be too full. I prefer everything to be in its place and organized. So now I’m checking all the food, throwing out unnecessary itemsand tidying things up.
We all have fridges that offer extra storage space, but sometimes things can get mixed up. No matter how careful I am, the inside of the fridge often gets disorganized.
The other day I needed to quickly make a package. It wasn’t regular craft paper, just ordinary baking paper. Making the package was a bit tricky because I had to fold and seal it in certain places. But, in the end I managed. I put a lot of garlic inside. I’m trying to store it this way now, as it was previously scattered on the fridge shelves. Instead I plan to package and store the garlic in this organized way. There’s plenty of garlic left, as we prepared preserves for winter, so I’m trying to keep it orderly. Keeping the fridge organized can be tough, but I try to prevent clutter with small things like this.
When organizing the fridge, I often think, "clean now or it'll get harder later." It's important to wipe up small spills immediately. I can't store milk in my fridge because that space is taken up by other items like bottled milk, olives, a few eggs, a small jar of picklesand some ready-made meals.
Then I cleaned the kitchen counter. Although it looked clean at first glance, I found dust, grease stains, food crumbsand dried oil spots underneath. Things often pile up unnoticed. After cleaning everything, I also tidied up the coffee machine. It’s important to keep it organized and clean too.
Afterward, I went shopping and bought a lot of things: mainly for my daughter. I got her some fall clothes, as the weather has cooled down. Her older clothes were getting a bit tight, so I bought new outfitsand they’re all really high quality. There’s one set I especially likedand the price was very reasonable.
Next I got a new vest for my other daughter. It has adjustable straps, but I didn’t feel the need to use them. The vest isn’t too thick, so it’ll go perfectly with a warm layer underneath. It also has a nice detail on the back that looks lovely.
Along with the vest, I got a matching hat. You can adjust its depthand I really liked the thick fabric. I also picked up a new set of pajamas for my daughter, with long sleeves and pants. I might tighten the waist a bit, but overall, they’re comfortable and look great.
Finally I bought myself a new set of loungewear. Last spring, I got a long-sleeve setand this year I got the short-sleeve summer version. I love it. The fabric is greatand it was very affordable. I didn’t wear it much in summer since I usually just wear a t-shirt, but now it’ll be perfect for fall and early winter.
Some of my friends criticize my clothing choices, especially my pajamas, but I want to feel comfortable at home, so I see these as loungewear. Even if they’re technically pajamas, I wear them at home without going outside. Everyone has their preferencesand I don’t mind this style. I dress how I feel comfortable.
My daughter and I tried on the vest and pajama combo, but it was a bit big initially, so I ordered a size down. Now the clothes fit perfectly. She may feel a little warm in them now, but the weather will get colder soonand these will be just right for the season.
