Doña Teresa era una mujer muy confiada. Le gustaba jugar a las cartas españolas y siempre se reunía con sus amigas. Ella las llamaba compinche de juegos. Los fines de semana eran fijo que se reunían y se iban a jugar. No tenía malicia al igual que sus amigas. Sus hijos vivían orientándola, pero no hacía caso, le decían: -mamá, tienes que tener astucia y mucha viveza, porque en la calle y en esos centro nocturnos había muchas gentes farsas, que le gustaba engañar a la gente para luego robarlas y quitarle todo su dinero. Cada vez que doña Teresa se iba a jugar cargaba en su cartera todas las tarjetas de banco porque en caso de querer apostar tenía cómo resolver.

Se había corrido la voz que en la comunidad donde ella vivía pernoctaban unos hombres que les gustaba aplicar paquete chileno a cualquiera que se encontrara en la calle y fuera presa fácil para ellos. Doña Teresa le gustaba sentarse en la puerta de la calle y todo el que pasaba lo saludaba. En su casa tenía muchas prendas de valor que costaban un dineral. También compraba y guardaba dólares. Un día llegaron tres personas a su casa, dos mujeres y un hombre. La saludaron muy amistosamente. Ella los invitó a pasar a su casa. Y le propusieron que podían triplicar su dinero en el banco. Mientras le ofrecían esa oferta, una de las mujeres la abrazo y doña Teresa se sintió mareada. Ya no actuaba por ella misma, si no estaba dopada. A tal extremo que esas personas le daban órdenes y ella obedecía. Le ordenaron buscar sus tarjetas bancarias y ella muy tranquilamente y en forma autómata obedeció. Les trajo todas sus tarjetas bancarias y salieron con ella hasta el cajero más cercano, allí fue despojada de todo su dinero.

A los visitantes no les bastó con despojar a doña Teresa de sus ahorros que había acumulado durante toda su vida. Con ese dinero, ella pensaba hacer un viaje a Europa para visitar a una hija. Regresaron a casa con ella y las despojaron de: sus prendas de valor, la mayoría eran de oro de 18 quilates y todos sus dólares guardados. Había caído en la trampa que le habían tendido esos estafadores. La dejaron acostada en su cama y luego se marcharon. Doña Teresa cayó redonda en la cruel y vil trampa de aquellos farsantes, tramposos y estafadores visitantes.

Doña Teresa was a very confident woman. She liked to play Spanish cards and always met with her friends. She called them compinche de juegos. On weekends they would get together and go out to play. She had no malice just like her friends. Her children were guiding her, but she did not pay attention, they told her: -Mom, you have to be cunning and very lively, because in the street and in those nightclubs there were many people who liked to deceive people and then rob them and take all their money. Every time Doña Teresa went to gamble, she would carry all her bank cards in her wallet because if she wanted to gamble, she had a way to do it.

Word had spread that in the community where she lived there were some men who liked to apply Chilean packets to anyone they met on the street and who was easy prey for them. Doña Teresa liked to sit at the door of the street and everyone who passed by greeted her. In her house she had many valuable clothes that cost a lot of money. She also bought and kept dollars. One day three people came to her house, two women and a man. They greeted her very friendly. She invited them into her house. And they proposed that they could triple her money in the bank. While they were making this offer, one of the women hugged her and Doña Teresa felt dizzy. She was no longer acting on her own, she was doped. To such an extent that these people gave her orders and she obeyed. They ordered her to look for her bank cards and she very calmly and automatically obeyed. She brought them all her bank cards and they went with her to the nearest ATM, where she was stripped of all her money.

It was not enough for the visitors to rob Doña Teresa of her life savings. With that money, she planned to take a trip to Europe to visit a daughter. They returned home with her and stripped her of: her valuables, most of them 18-karat gold, and all her saved dollars. She had fallen into the trap set for her by these swindlers. They left her lying on her bed and then left. Doña Teresa fell roundly into the cruel and vile trap of those phony, cheating and swindling visitors.
