Un paseo al pintoresco pueblo de Peribeca (ES/EN)

El fin de semana, cerca del mediodía y después de haber trabajado en un proyecto hasta las 3:30 de la madrugada del domingo, fui invitada a un paseo familiar. No sabíamos a dónde iríamos, o al menos el anfitrión no lo quiso revelar. Sin embargo, teníamos claro que el plan principal era buscar un lugar donde almorzar y luego pasar una tarde diferente.
Así que emprendimos el viaje hacia la capital del estado Táchira, San Cristóbal. Allí buscamos un restaurante chino y pedimos los servicios de arroz frito para las seis personas que íbamos. En mi caso, tuve que manifestar que consumir camarones me cae mal, por lo que me veía en la obligación de pedir arroz con pollo y cochino. Estaba delicioso. Eso me reconfortó bastante después de un gran trasnocho y de no haber desayunado en la mañana.
De allí salimos con la curiosidad de saber adónde íbamos. Y, bueno, tomamos la autopista Antonio José de Sucre y la vía hacia la población de Peribeca. Ese pintoresco y pequeño pueblo andino se caracteriza por atraer a propios y visitantes al conservar en el casco urbano fachadas de estilo colonial y un sinfín de tradiciones, donde destacan los platos y dulces típicos.
Es la segunda vez que visito este pequeño pueblo. La primera fue el pasado mes de mayo, día de las madres.
Sus estrechas calles están llenas de color. Posee centros comerciales artesanales y una iglesia, ubicada frente a la plazoleta. De estos sitios, lamentablemente, en ninguna de las dos oportunidades he podido tomar fotografías.
Bajando de la iglesia, por la calle del lado derecho a un costado de la plaza, hay un conjunto de puestos de comida rápida, donde es posible deleitar platos como la tradicional cachapa de mazorca acompañada de queso y hasta de cerdo asado.
Al dar la vuelta están los locales de dulces típicos, quesillos y otras exquisiteces servidas en recipientes ideales para llevar a casa si así se desea. También es posible encontrar gran variedad de helados de todo tipo, propicios para compartir en una tarde soleada.
Unos metros después de la iglesia, por la calle principal, hay una entrada donde se ubica un paseo artesanal. En las dos oportunidades que hemos ido nos hemos tomado selfies allí.
Además de ello, dos atractivos turísticos que posee Peribeca tienen que ver con los paseos a caballo y con los recorridos de las motos y cuatriciclos en la pista ubicada adyacente a la entrada del pueblo.
En nuestra primera visita, nuestro sobrino no desaprovechó la oportunidad de dar un paseo a caballo, guiado por uno de los promotores, por supuesto.
Esta vez, quisimos ir a la pista de motos. El estaba tan emocionado que ni siquiera mencionó querer montar a caballo. Claro, también tiene la ventaja de que en el pueblo en que vivimos ahora se está promocionando esta actividad.
Bueno, les comento que todos quedaron asombrados cuando me animé a decir que yo conduciría. Es que no se manejar. Y bueno, era mi oportunidad de hacerlo.
Así que, nuestro sobrinito, mi novio y yo nos fuimos a la pista. Fue divertido hacerlo. Y quienes más disfrutamos seguramente fuimos Santi y yo. Claro, mi novio no desaprovechó la oportunidad de grabar un vídeo para registrar mi hazaña como conductora.
Este fue un domingo diferente, con una buena experiencia y esparcimiento en familia. Así que, si están en Táchira o vienen de paseo, les invito a visitar el hermoso pueblo de Peribeca, ubicado en el municipio Capacho Nuevo (Independencia), a solo unos 20 minutos de San Cristóbal. Les encantará el ambiente y la calidez de su gente, así como su arquitectura colonial.

On the weekend, around noon and after having worked on a project until 3:30 in the morning on Sunday, I was invited to a family outing. We didn't know where we were going, or at least the host didn't want to reveal it. However, it was clear to us that the main plan was to find a place to have lunch and then spend a different afternoon.
So we set off for the capital of the state of Táchira, San Cristóbal. There we looked for a Chinese restaurant and ordered fried rice for the six people we were going to. In my case, I had to say that I dislike shrimp, so I had to order rice with chicken and pork. It was delicious. That was quite comforting after a late night and not having breakfast in the morning.
From there we left with curiosity as to where we were going. And, well, we took the Antonio José de Sucre highway and the road to the town of Peribeca. This picturesque and small Andean town is characterized by attracting locals and visitors alike by preserving colonial style facades in the urban center and a myriad of traditions, where typical dishes and sweets stand out.
This is the second time I visit this small town. The first was last May, Mother's Day.
Its narrow streets are full of color. It has handicraft shopping centers and a church, located in front of the small square. Unfortunately, I have not been able to take pictures of these places on either of the two occasions.
Going down from the church, on the street on the right side of the square, there is a group of fast food stands, where it is possible to enjoy dishes such as the traditional cachapa de mazorca accompanied by cheese and even roast pork.
Around the corner are the typical candy shops, quesillos and other delicacies served in containers ideal for taking home if desired. It is also possible to find a wide variety of ice creams of all kinds, ideal for sharing on a sunny afternoon.
A few meters after the church, along the main street, there is an entrance where there is a handicraft stroll. On the two occasions we have gone there we have taken selfies.
In addition to this, two tourist attractions that Peribeca has are horseback riding and motorcycle and ATV tours on the track located adjacent to the entrance of the town.
On our first visit, our nephew did not miss the opportunity to take a horseback ride, guided by one of the promoters, of course.
This time, we wanted to go to the motorcycle track. He was so excited that he didn't even mention wanting to ride. Of course, he also has the advantage that the town we live in is now promoting this activity.
Well, I should tell you that everyone was amazed when I dared to say that I would drive. I don't know how to drive. And well, it was my chance to do it.
So, our little nephew, my boyfriend and I took to the track. It was fun to do it. And the ones who enjoyed the most were for sure Santi and me. Of course, my boyfriend didn't miss the opportunity to record a video to record my driving feat.
This was a different Sunday, with a good experience and family fun. So, if you are in Táchira or coming for a trip, I invite you to visit the beautiful town of Peribeca, located in the municipality of Capacho Nuevo (Independencia), only about 20 minutes from San Cristóbal. You will love the atmosphere and the warmth of its people, as well as its colonial architecture.

Hace muchos anos no voy al Tachira, pero sin duda es de los estamos mas lindos que tiene Venezuela, si no mal recuerdo llegue a pasar por Peribeca en una oportunidad. Un pueblito muy bonito en realidad o por lo menos así lo recuerdo. Gracias por compartir este divertido dia que han tenido en familia.
