My Actifit Report Card: June 25 2023
Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday was supposed to get hot, even in the morning. So after less than a couple hours of sleep, I got up early (for me, 9am is extremely early!), so we could go for a long walk with Kaia. In the forest shade, it wasn't bad when we arrived.
We took our time to walk plenty of the trails.
But as predicted, it heated up and Kaia clearly was affected by the heat (and so was I!)
When we left the forest, Kaia was so tired she didn't even try and chase this cute deer.
We spent most of the rest of the day indoors. First because once again we don't like hot weather, and then because of the rain. There were storm warnings, and indeed when it started it was very impressive. Super windy, dark and heavy rain, but it lasted only a few minutes, and then turned into steady rain only. So no damage, and no power outage luckily. But also no more walking...

I don't know all details, just that there are different hunting seasons depending on what's used, bow hunting or firearm hunting. But even during open hunting season, I am not sure it's allowed in a small park like that, right in the middle of a suburban area.

Yeah, I can understand. A few people seem kind of envious of my usual wake up times, especially on weekdays. But considering when I go to bed, that is still very little sleep. Less than 2 hours on that particular Sunday described above...

I couldn’t live on 2h of sleep 🙈 I need 7-8h every night.
Getting up early was my biggest worry when going back to full time employment.
Once I got used to the routine, I quite like being up early (6:20) during week days. I have make sure to be in bed around 10pm the night before to be well rested though.
At the weekends which are 3 days long, anything goes, so my sleep pattern often gets wonky then 😅
