We are a little over a month away from Christmas, the most awaited time of the year by many, particularly children for the reasons we all know, and although I live in a country located on the shores of the Caribbean Sea, in the tropics where it only snows on the high peaks of the Andes Mountains; that is no obstacle to celebrate this festive season.

Little by little the streets, shopping malls and homes begin to be decorated with Christmas motifs: trees, nativity scenes, Santas and reindeer, among other decorations.

This afternoon I went to a large shopping mall located a short distance from my house, where I had the opportunity to observe the Christmas decorations, and although I was not surprised as in previous years where the stores competed with each other for the most colorful decorations looking to attract their customers, it is still appreciated that they join this great and emotional celebration of the end of the year.

Estamos a poco más de un mes de la Navidad, la época del año más esperada por muchos, particularmente los niños por las razones que todos conocemos, y aunque vivo en un país situado a orillas del Mar Caribe, en pleno trópico donde solo llega a nevar en las altas cumbres de la Cordillera de los Andes; eso no es obstáculo alguno para celebrar estas fechas festivas.

Poco a poco empiezan a decorarse las calles, centros comerciales y los hogares con motivos navideños: árboles, pesebres, Santas y renos, entre otros adornos.

Esta tarde acudí a un gran Centro Comercial ubicado a corta distancia de mi casa, donde tuve la oportunidad de observar las decoraciones decembrinas, y aunque no me sorprendió como en años anteriores donde los comercios competían entre sí por la decoración más vistosa buscando atraer a su clientela, de igual manera se agradece que se sumen a esta gran y emotiva celebración de final de año.
