Reading the topics proposed in the initiative of the month exactly to today a topic is proposed that I was recently talking about with my sister-in-law and that I find quite interesting, artificial intelligence. There are divided opinions since it is a topic that has a lot to debate, so I will share my opinion about it in this post
Friend or foe?
I think it's completely understandable to feel a little fear or uncertainty when something revolutionary comes along like in this case. Sure, artificial intelligence has been around for a while but it was not as developed as it is now, and it will most likely advance much further at a dizzying pace. You cannot predict how far it will go, but seeing what has been achieved, the unimaginable may be reached.
From generating images in seconds to filtering information on a specific topic from the billions of information portals, at this point it seems like there is nothing that AI cannot do. It was created and trained to be basically something powerful capable of knowing any existing detail, which is reminiscent of so many movies and series that warn that this is not exactly a good idea. But that fear is exaggerated since fiction is nothing more than that, and reaching an apocalyptic utopia with robots controlling humans sounds too fanciful to me.
But it is undeniable that it is an unprecedented powerful tool that can go even further. But in my opinion, artificial intelligence is simply that, it is a tool that can be used to your advantage. I'll explain. Human beings have a certain characteristic essence of their nature that makes what they do evident. However, artificial intelligence lacks that human naturalness because it is a system that is responsible for interpreting information to generate a bundle of ideas that can be novel but not perfect, so in the end they always need even a small correction to improve the result.
Many times this tool needs too many specific indications to be able to achieve the desired result, since there is no one better at understanding it than humans themselves, so AI can in any case help organize ideas or provide new ones. Sometimes creative processes stagnate and it seems impossible to get out of there. You look for inspiration anywhere but sometimes you just can't find it. In those cases, why not use artificial intelligence?
Let's not use AI as a program to which I give instructions to do all the work, but as an instrument to which I can give small ideas so that it can generate as many others, hopefully different ones, in order to take elements and create something of my own. It is not about taking advantage to have a "fast way", it is taking advantage of the help knowing that I cannot abuse that power.
My sister-in-law with whom I was talking about this tool is an illustrator and she told me that sometimes she had a character in mind to draw but she couldn't figure out the pose she wanted, it just didn't come to her mind. But she used the AI, gave it indications of what she had in mind and it generated alternatives. She had the inspiration and began to draw, not a copy of what she got, but something totally new that emerged from the inspiration it gave her. I think this is the ideal use, a balanced and responsible one.
I can't imagine how far the development of AI will go, but of course it can get out of control. Although I don't think it's because of the very nature of how it works but because of the people themselves, those who use it unconsciously and irresponsibly, taking advantage of "the easy way" or using it to cause harm in some way.
But does this have to do with technology? Well, I think the answer is more than clear, in the end we are the ones who decide what to do with the resources we have.

Leyendo los temas propuestos en la iniciativa del mes justo para hoy está propuesto un tema del cual conversaba hace poco con mi cuñada y que me parece bastante interesante, la inteligencia artificial. Hay opiniones divididas puesto que es un tema que da para mucho debate, así que compartiré mi opinión en este post
¿Enemigo o amigo?
Creo que es completamente comprensible sentir un poco de miedo o incertidumbre cuando surge algo revolucionario como en este caso. Claro, la inteligencia artificial existía desde hace ya un tiempo pero no estaba tan desarrollada como lo está ahora, y lo más probable es que avance mucho más a un ritmo vertiginoso. No se puede preveer hasta dónde llegará pero viendo lo que se ha conseguido puede que se logré lo inimaginable.
Desde generar imágenes en segundos hasta filtrar información sobre un tema en específico partiendo de los miles de millones de portales informativos, a este punto parece que no hay nada que la IA no pueda hacer. Fue creada y entrenada para ser básicamente algo poderoso capaz de conocer cualquier detalle existente, lo cual recuerda a tantas películas y series que advierten que esto no es precisamente una buena idea. Pero ese miedo resulta exagerado puesto que la ficción no es más que eso, y llegar a una utopía apocalíptica con el control de los robots sobre los humanos me suena demasiado fantasioso.
Pero es innegable que es una poderosa herramienta sin precedentes que puede llegar incluso más lejos. Pero en mi opinión, la inteligencia artificial es simplemente eso, es una herramienta que pueden utilizar para tu beneficio. Me explico. Lo humano tiene cierta esencia característica de su naturaleza que hace que lo que está hecho por él sea evidente, en cambio la inteligencia artificial carece de esa naturalidad humana porque es un sistema que se encarga de interpretar la información para generar un popurrí de ideas que pueden ser novedosas pero no perfectas, por lo que al final siempre necesitan aunque sea una pequeña corrección para mejorar el resultado.
Muchas veces esta herramienta necesita demasiadas indicaciones específicas para poder lograr el resultado que se busca, pues es que nadie mejor para comprenderse que el propio humano, por lo que la IA en todo caso puede ayudar a organizar las ideas o aportar unas nuevas. A veces los procesos creativos se estancan y parece imposible salir se allí. Se busca inspiración donde sea pero a veces simplemente no se encuentra. En esos casos, ¿por qué no usar la inteligencia artificial?
No pongamos la IA como un programa al que le doy indicaciones para que haga todo el trabajo, sino como un instrumento al que puedo darle pequeñas ideas para que me genere otras tantas, con suerte diferentes, para así tomar elementos y crear yo algo propio. No se trata de tomar ventaja para tener una «vía rápida», es aprovechar la ayuda consciente de que no puedo abusar de ese poder.
Mi cuñada con quien hablaba de esta herramienta es ilustradora y ella me contaba que a veces ella tenía en mente un personaje para dibujar pero no lograba resolver la pose que quería, simplemente no le llegaba a la cabeza. Pero usó la IA dándole indicaciones de lo que tenía pensado y esta generó alternativas. Ella tuvo la inspiración y comenzó a dibujar, no una copia de lo que obtuvo, sino algo totalmente nuevo que surgió por la inspiración que le brindó. Creo que éste es el uso ideal, uno equilibrado y responsable.
No puedo imaginarme hasta dónde llegará el desarrollo de la IA pero por supuesto que puede llegar a salirse de control, pero no creo que sea por la propia naturaleza de su funcionamiento sino por las mismas personas, aquellos quienes la utilizan de manera inconsciente e irresponsable aprovechándose de «lo fácil» o utilizándolo para generar daño de alguna forma.
¿Pero esto tiene que ver con la tecnología? Pues creo que la respuesta está más que clara, finalmente somos nosotros quienes decidimos que hacer con los recursos que tenemos.

Al igual que tú pienso que es más una herramienta, es como un el hecho de que algunas empresas tienen máquinas para realizar trabajos con materias primas, mientas que otros prefieren los recursos humanos, cada opción tiene un costo beneficio por sus cualidades y condiciones, pero detrás de esa decisión, hay humano, no una máquina
Exactamente, queda de parte de cada quien el uso que decida darle a esta herramienta que en realidad puede ser muy beneficiosa.

Estoy fuera de onda con la IA, no la uso para nada jaja es mas, trato de escapar de ella, si hago bien o mal no lo se, pero algo no me termina de convencer de esta herramienta 👀
El futuro de la IA es grande y a la vez aterrador, no tanto por la herramiente, sino por el uso que el ser humano pueda darle, ahi estoy completamente de acuerdo con vos y tambien que por mas buena y util que sea esta herramienta, siempre se va a necesitar un factor que solo el ser humano de carne y hueso tiene. Recuerdo cuando un profesor me dijo algo asi: "Podes tener un robot que haga todo el trabajo, pero siempre vas a necesitar un humano para que encienda ese robot"
Y claro que bien usada puede generar cosas grandiosas y ayudar a un monton de personas en varios aspectos de la vida, pero bien usada jaja
Es una herramienta, usarla como apoyo me parece fantastico, coincidimos ahi, pero siempre habra alguien que quiera usarla para hacer maldades y es ahi donde surge el temor 😲

Es un tema con mucha tela que cortar porque realmente es difícil preveer si las personas le darán un buen uso o no. Tal como dijo tu profesor, siempre habrá un humano detrás de la máquina, pero lo que decida hacer con ella es totalmente impredecible. Para bien o para mal la IA existe, será cuestión de ver hasta donde llega, aunque ciertamente da algo de miedo.
