Do the benefits of crypto outweigh the risks?
One of the things that I've come to understand about money is that it is never lost, just simply transferred to a new party.
So when thinking about the benefits and risks of crypto, one has to ask, who is benefiting and who is losing? Because everyone can't be losing.
If the vast majority(the innocent) are losing, then crypto isn't worth it, but if the few(that rule the world) are the ones losing, then heck yeah.
I believe by now you should have already gotten the answer to that question. The benefits and potentials that is of this ecosystem is far more than the risks involved, and this risk will be greatly reduced for the average Joes as time passes, the volatility of crypto assets here is particularly what many consider the risk of the new financial system, but the wild thing about this is that the volatile is often a theory leaning largely on the falling side of falling crypto prices and not the rising, typically human greed right?
Crypto is bringing back control
Control is essential, I mean look how the governments fight even themselves to gain it, having control comes with a lot of benefits and two is the enablement to build and scale.
Finance has been on the edge when it comes to control. Through the banking system, the authorities have been able to limit the common majority from being able to tap into various market environments for business and finance exploration.
From controlling the value of the money we earn to controlling even the money we've earned that is supposedly sitting in a personal bank account, the central impact of this control has caused individuals to live within very tight financial constraints.
Crypto assets with the enablement of blockchain technology of course are bringing back power and control to the people. Even though we cannot control the economic activities from a data standpoint as the legacy system does, we can however determine how much we work and produce to foster economic growth and attain network-wide sustainability.
Scaling globally and flexibly
The Global markets, something about it just gives me a sense of fulfillment. What's better than tapping into an ocean of potential and value from anywhere in the world?
The Global finance and business sector is filled with opportunities and individuals looking to embrace anything of value thrown at them. This is particularly good for entrepreneurs and even corporate businesses.
Traditional finance does not grant individuals the ease to tap into this market, if anything, it limits entrepreneurs and there's a simple reason for that: if wealth spreads too wide, power is diminished for the pre-dominators. The consistent flow of value through global networks without governmental control is the nightmare of the few rich individuals that seek to retain power of the vast, while at the same time, is a blessing to the rest of the world as a window of opportunities is unlocked for them to tap into.
Take a look at the decentralized finance ecosystem, since its inception, we have watched billions flow through these networks. The Rise of stablecoins cannot be understated, the strong drive of blockchain networks facilitating thousands to millions of transactions daily, internally and cross-chain, all these on-chain data points to the potential that lies in the access to the global markets to build and scale with ease.
The benefits of having crypto around far exceeds the risks because even its users acknowledge the risks and are actively developing structures to combat it. Debating its demise would be crazy because this system is here to change how we view money and how we build with it and for it.
Hi! Tsunsica here! I think it is up to us to risk only what we can afford to lose, then al the risk will be worth it.
Some advice: For the concepts and linked words, we encourage the use of the Leo Glossary. Also, adding more images to illustrate the content and make it more appealing to read. And finally, the tags need to be related to the content. No tags or only tribe tags will be considered as spam.
