Pepes shrimp is one of the typical dishes originating from West Java and spread throughout Indonesia.

A dish that is famous for its distinctive taste and is most liked by the people of Indonesia. The dish, which is mixed with its special spices and stirred with small prawns, has a delicious taste added with a distinctive banana leaf wrap and the fragrant aroma of the shrimp paste increases.

The following is the process of making Pepes or Pais:

The first thing to do in making shrimp paste is to clean the shrimp first until clean and put it in the available bowl.

After cleaning the prawns thoroughly, then enter the Pepes seasoning and stir with the prawns until evenly distributed.

After stirring until the shrimp and spices are evenly distributed, then take the mixture and wrap it with banana leaves which have been his trademark from the past.


After all the above processes have been done, then take the shrimp paste that has been wrapped and roasted until cooked.
