Fix: No power to monitor - cannot turn on Dahua 32 inch 4k monitor

I got this monitor to play my Xbox series X, 32 inch 4k 60hz for only $284 AUD. You can imagine how excited I was to test it out. After unboxed it (and filmed myself unboxing it), I put plugged it into power and saw something weird.

There were no sights. I then madly pressed the power button but no lights would show up. I tried holding it down for longer and again nothing showed up. I thought, okay maybe my powerboard is broken. Changed my powerboard. Chaged the wall socket. Changed the power cable. Nothing was turning on this monitor!!

That's when I realised, okay maybe it was one of those dead on arrival monitors. I still took a video to show that this monitor cannot be powered on as evidence (the first part of this video - you can hear that my concern was genuine). I initiated an Ebay return process and started putting this monitor back in the box.

As I was trying to put it back in the box, I turned this monitor completely upside down and saw a kill switch!! Why would a computer monitor have a kill switch? None of the other monitors I have in the house (I have probably 6 or 7) have a killswitch! So I flipped the switch, plugged the monitor back into power and turned it on successfully, then I connected the HDMI from my xbox to the monitor and voilà!!! everything's on.
