Recientemente estuve de visita en el Teatro Bellas Artes para asistir a una obra de teatro, mientras esperaba que comenzara el evento noté que en uno de los salones del teatro se estaba realizando una exposición de arte y me acerqué a apreciar las pinturas, de lejos llamó mi atención los brillantes colores.

La exposición lleva por nombre Ritmos y Esencia de la Ciudad, realizada en homenaje a Francico Bellorín en los 50 años de la creación de la Facultad Experimental de Arte de la Universidad del Zulia. Las obras expuestas son un reflejo de nuestra vida en Maracaibo, visto desde diferentes perspectivas, el bullicio de los autobuses repletos de gente que se desplazan al ritmo de la guaracha, el ballenato y el reguetón se convierten en nuestra cotidianidad.
The exhibition is called Rhythms and Essence of the City, held in homage to Francico Bellorín on the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Experimental Faculty of Art of the University of Zulia. The works on display are a reflection of our life in Maracaibo, seen from different perspectives, the hustle and bustle of the buses packed with people moving to the rhythm of guaracha, ballenato and reggaeton become our daily life.
Me encantaron las pinturas, alguna más que otras, pero lo que sí puedo decirles es que el salón explotó de color. Además de pinturas al óleo también se pueden apreciar serigrafías y vitrales en la exposición, realmente cada pared y rincón del salón lucía con orgullo una maravillosa obra de los artistas plásticos invitados a ser partícipes de la exposición, no sabía para dónde mirar.
