How to make a bralette: A simple DIY guide

Making a brallete is super easy. Yes you can make the beautiful and stylish bralette!

I'm going to show you how to make a brallette, also known as beach bra or summer bra.
With these easy steps below and a few materials you'll be able to make your own bralete at the comfort of your home!

First off here are a few things you need for this:

• Piece of fabric 1/2 yard (I used vintage material)
• Elastic 2 inches wide
• Scissors
• And measuring tape

Here's how you start making your summer bra!

• Cut a circular piece of fabric. I used a 12-inch diameter, but you can adjust yours based on your desired size.

• Fold the circle into quarters and cut into two semi-circles.

• Cut two strips of fabric (11 inches long and 3 inches wide each).
• Fold and sew to create the straps for the bralete.

• Sew each strap to the pointed edges of the fabric semi-circles.
  Flip the fabric over to see the finished triangular bralette cups.

• Next we sew the down part of the thing in a gathered form or you can say a little pleated

• Below is what you have after that

• Next you cut out the band, a long strip of fabric (I used 34 inches long and 5 inches wide (when folded becomes 2.5 inches wide)

• Sew the band to the bottom edge of the bralette.

• Measure and cut a piece of elastic (19 inches long).
  Insert the elastic into the band and secure the thing with topstitching.

Now we have the completed bralette—stylish and comfortable!
