Ozark Life ~ August 29 2022

It’s currently pouring rain in the Ozarks. With lightning, thunder, and all the fixin’s.

I’m now extra glad @nomaddreamer suggested a longer trail hike earlier today instead of our usual paved neighborhood loops. It was extra humid and sweaty, but it was a beautiful hike. It would not be much fun in the pouring rain or if the trail were made of mud, however. So, again, extra glad!

We saw wildlife and lots of fungi varieties.

We also saw a rustic-chic faerie house. The kind you would see on Lakefront Faerie Bargain Hunters. Or maybe it was just an emergency faerie shelter for when it storms? Who knows, I didn’t want to disturb them with questions. 🙃

And speaking of not disturbing, we were delighted to see this guy meandering down the trail. He was pretty shy and didn’t seem to want to talk at all. We left him a wide berth after taking a few pics. I tried to wait to see him walk away, but Mia the Wonder Aussie was growing impatient and I was afraid she’d think it was a fun playtoy.

In addition to hiking all morning, we also went grocery shopping and took care of some house chores, to-do lists, crypto management, and p2e games.
