Self Growth 2.0 Week 1
Well, well, well... I didn't realize it was Monday, so it's time to share my weekly accountability. If you're wondering what's changed, a few things have changed, and this 2.0 Self-Growth journey is getting even more challenging.
I feel a little overwhelmed by some of the challenges I've set, but maybe that's because it's still week 1. This is the critical moment when I really need to push through the tough parts so that, in the end, everything runs on autopilot, just like the things I've been doing over the past 12 weeks.
This week, one of my biggest challenges has been moving around and not finding food that I should be eating. So, this morning, when I did my weigh-in, I was fairly surprised by my weight gain, haha. As much as I was walking a lot more, I was also eating and drinking sugary drinks more than I should. I am working my hardest so that next week, I am not going to be the same anymore.
As you can see from the tracker above, I missed a few days of my learning and studying prep that I should have been doing. However, with the daily scripture, I always make the time. It's fairly accessible on my phone and doesn't require much mental headspace or capacity.
Since my head was full, I decided to paint something as I got my remaining stuff shipped home. I found my sketchbook paper and decided to just paint on it. I don't have anything in particular, and my skill has been rusty, but I tried drawing the view from outside my balcony. I want to put that on paper because it's a little cloud. After painting them, I feel more rejuvenated and happier. I simply think that art helps refresh and nourish our minds. I know I am not an expert, but I've found enjoyment in them, and after this, I am ready to tackle what comes next.
While I had access to my laptop throughout the week, it was fairly difficult to just sit down properly and do some work. My mind wasn't just there. Since last year, I have found it increasingly difficult to stay at the cafe and be productive. Part of it is because I am a lot more social than I used to be, so for someone with reserved energy, I tend to just use it all up during socialization and find it difficult to get anything done.
In the past, when I barely had friends and no social life, it was much easier because I could just focus on work and things to do rather than on socialization. So, that's why I had no issues on moving and getting this done.
The house project I am focusing on this entire week is my room and the balcony. It's rainy season, and I want to clean up my balcony so that my plants won't fall off and are properly put into the right spot when it rains. The next thing that I want to finally re-arrange is my room and the dressing room. While there's nothing wrong with them, giving them a new look and arrangement would work best.
This time, I am focusing on seven things, which is more than I did in the past. It's a challenge in itself because I am really trying my best to find the time for them. If you ask me to cut down some of them, it actually is challenging. They are the kind of habits and knowledge I need to know in order to grow next.
I certainly hope to do better next week. See you around!

Glad you are closer to your goal. One step at a time 😊
hehehe thank you
This challenge is something that I should try. I am sure I will fail miserably but still it's worth trying from my side. I am sure that my sheet will have more misses than hits.
Lets see how long it will take me to come up with the goals. 🤣🤣🤣

Salute for making it to Day82.
actually I still have 82 days to go. It's only been a week haha but I mean, you have to trust yourself.

No doubt your effort has weighed you down 🤭🤭 But I'm sure in the coming days you will do better 🥳🥳 (I hope you can paint a cat on the moon 😯🥰).
hahahaha yeah! I wish I could paint a cat but I need to practice before I can actually do that.
I am inspired by how you challenge yourself @macchiata and set your goals. 😊
I have this goal of losing my extra weight, and it is really hard. 😊
I really think if you make up your mind, nothing is too challenging. In my experience the first two weeks are the most challenging but then it gets easier from there.
What a great week ahead. You did excellent to improve yourself, you should rest for awhile. Same goes with me, I also enjoy getting a new look with my room when I do not do anything. Cheers to your self improvement! Hoping for the best for you.
😄 hehe thank you! I did rest for about a week and I am getting back into the loop. I need to get fit for my sister's wedding that I am so excited about.
Wow, that's good to hear. Well, you gotta need some good rest for that event 😊
Glad you found a way to distract yourself from the way you felt. Your painting looks good.
🤣 They aren't that great tbh but it's always nice to do something like that.
That's true.
