Travel around the world Nr. 31 Cala Mesquida Deu/Eng
Hello dear Hiver,
today it is time to introduce our vacation resort Cala Mesquida. Cala Mesquida is located at the eastern tip of Mallorca and consists of a small bay, 3 large hotels, a supermarket and a car rental. And oh yes, a few vacation fincas. If you want to see the Majorcan life, you already have to explore the island with a rental car. But for relaxing and being pampered the place is ideal.
Wonderful view from the airplane on Cape Formentor during the approach to Palma de Mallorca.
Our beach in the early morning before the tourists arrive.
The pool at night.
Our hotel was located directly on the rocks above the bay. The view was fantastic.
The rocky coast, ideal for walks along the sea.
Wild goats that don't care about fences on their search for food among the rocks.
View of the lonely bay 2 kilometers from our hotel.
Old World War II bunker guarding the bay.
There was also a lot going on in the hotel in the evening. Here are the artists who put on a great show.
What marred the fun a bit were the jellyfish in the sea, which were unfortunately numerous and poisonous. On 6 out of 10 days there was a jellyfish warning and you could only go into the sea on a very limited basis. Nasty little things!
All in all a very relaxing vacation, just right to recharge the batteries. Too bad that time always has to end so quickly.
Many greetings your
Al
Hallo liebe Hiver,
Al
