"Let the beetroot smoothie paint your day with health, one crimson sip at a time."❤️

Hello, everyone! I'm back to share a recipe I've wanted to try for a long time, and I'm finally able to do it. I hadn't planned to make this recipe last week until I found the main ingredient, which made me happy. This morning, I turned it into a healthy drink.

Lately, I’ve been feeling sluggish because I’ve been too full, and I thought this drink could help me go to the bathroom properly. After not going for two days, I found that this really helped, and now I feel so light! After a couple of hours, I finally had a bowel movement, and my stomach felt relieved. I was able to release the waste that was inside me. 😁

Beetroot is high in fiber, which can aid in regulating digestion and supporting liver function and detoxification. Additionally, celery acts as a natural diuretic, helping to reduce water retention and bloating. It is also a good source of fiber.

Here’s the step-by-step process for making a beetroot and celery drink to help with bloating:

Ingredients:

1 small beetroot (cut into small pieces)
3 celery stalks (cut into small pieces)
1/2 sliced apple
1/2 sliced lemon
1 cup of coconut water

Step by Step process:

  1. Wash the beetroot, celery, apple, and lemon thoroughly
  2. Peel the beetroot and make sure to remove the skin
  3. Chop into small pieces the beetroot, apple and celery stalks.
  4. Extract the lemon juice only and make sure to remove the seeds.
  5. Put all the ingredients (beetroot, celery, apple, coconut water, and lemon juice) into the blender and blend until smooth.
  6. You can strain the mixture using a fine mesh strainer or drink the whole smoothie. It's up to you.

I discovered beetroot while traveling to Bukidnon, where a group of farmers was selling vegetables beside the road. We stopped because we knew the produce would be affordable and fresh. I spotted these small, round veggies, asked what they were called, and the lady replied, “beetroot.” I was so glad I bought eight pieces to try!

I made the smoothie without straining it because I wanted to keep the fiber and not waste any part of the beets. I apologize for not having a picture of the lemon; I forgot to take one.

You can serve and enjoy the smoothie as I did this morning. The ingredients are enough for two servings, but I drink two glasses myself. I felt so light afterward! I'm planning to blend some more this evening so I can wake up feeling great tomorrow. I want to end the day with a healthy smoothie.

I hope you enjoyed reading my blog. Cheers!

Celery is a diuretic par excellence, the other ingredients are wonderful, the apple is very good for digestion, plus we have a lot of vitamin C from the lemon. Greetings.
