Comic books have influenced the course of history in a very evident way in recent years, but something similar had already happened before, in a period of time where every day the threat of a surprise death was latent.

Se dice que un soldado bien motivado a veces equivale a 10 soldados desmotivados que solo están ahí porque es su obligación. Y mantener la motivación para ambos ejércitos era algo muy difícil, sobre para los aliados ya que los nazis les superaban en número, dominaban el territorio y eran más… Feroces y sanguinarios.

En esos momentos tan terribles aparecieron 2 aliados que ayudaran a disminuir estas preocupaciones de las familias y motivarían a más de un soldado aliado.
Superman, el héroe favorito de los niños se encontraba pasando por algunos cambios y dificultades, pero finalmente pudo prevalecer y volver para ser ese símbolo de la esperanza que siempre ha representado y brindar una luz al final del túnel con sus historias que siempre de alguna u otra manera transmitían el mismo mensaje: “No importa que tan terrible parezca la situación siempre habrá esperanza y la esperanza nos ayudara a mejorar nuestra situación actual.” Lección que aplica también hoy en día y que, en aquel entonces fue la esperanza que muchos necesitaban. Superman como se ha recalcado en cada una de sus películas es, un símbolo de esperanza y lo demostró durante la gran guerra.

Captain America in each of his comics more than just talking inside the comic book, he spoke to the reader and inspired them with every word, it was a kind of breaking of the fourth wall different than what we know or what Deadpool got us used to. He was that voice that when you were about to give up he would say "Get up sunshine, we haven't won this war yet, don't give up yet." Captain America in every movie he appears in is always the voice of reason and the one who says don't give up and this is reflected in one of his most famous lines from the movies, "I could do this all day." Captain America will always fight until he achieves his goal and it was that message that helped many people keep their morale up.

En el año 1941 Timely Comics (Hoy Marvel Comic) Sacó a la venta el primer comic del Capitán América, el cual sería la inspiración que necesitarían los soldados en el frente y la que necesitarían algunos otros para enlistarse, el Capitán América hacia muchas cosas siendo solo una historieta, les decía a los soldados que la valía y el coraje era todo lo que se necesitaba para enfrentar la amenaza nazi, sus inicios trasmitían que lo que realmente hacía de un soldado un súper soldado no era un suero místico, sino las ganas que se tuviesen de pelear hacer lo que fuese necesario para defender a su país. Hacia parecer divertido y emocionante la guerra para los que no la vivían y les dio a los soldados la motivación suficiente para mantenerse defendiendo su posición hasta que llegara el momento indicado. El Capitán América en cada uno de sus comics más que hablar dentro del comic, hablaba con el lector y lo inspiraba con cada palabra, era una especie de ruptura de la cuarta pared distinta a la que conocemos o a la que nos acostumbró Deadpool. Él era esa voz que cuando estabas a punto de rendirte te decía “Levántate solado, aún no hemos ganado esta guerra, no te rindas todavía.” El Capitán América en cada una de las películas que aparece siempre es la voz de la razón y el que dice que no hay que rendirse y esto lo refleja en una de sus frases más famosas de las películas: “Podría hacer esto todo el día.” El Capitán América siempre peleara hasta que logre su objetivo y fue ese mensaje el que ayudó a muchas personas a mantener la moral arriba.

No digo que los comics ayudaron a ganar la guerra, pero sin duda alguna sus mensajes ayudaron a soldados y familias a mantener la esperanza y la motivación, los cuales son factores importantes dentro de la guerra.
