IT WILL BE AN HONOUR TO HAVE DINNER WITH MY NEXT PRESIDENT
source
Often times we think of celebrities as just popular musicians, actors and may be footballers (sports men) but the word celebrity goes beyond these and accommodates many more .
Just to remind those of us who have forgotten and many of us who have been unaware of what the word celebrity entails.
A celebrity is a famous and a celebrated person.
If these two words (famous and celebrated) make up the core of the definition and description of a celebrity, it means celebrities shouldn't just be narrowed to musicians or actors or footballers.
We should note that People who have attained fame and have been celebrated due to their imparts in various fields and areas are celebrities also. This also means that there are thousands of them and we may not know them all because someone that is famous and celebrated in your region and in your own world may not be famous and celebrated in my region and in my own world.
Talking about a celebrity I am a fan of and would like to have dinner with 🤔, the are quite a lot of them but at the moment, one which I am very much fond of and would like to have dinner with is a Man called PETER OBI
PETER OBI at the moment is famous in my country and his fame is fast spreading across Africa and the world. He is also celebrated by many Nigerians at home and abroad especially the youths. Since he is celebrated and famous, I think he would pass for a celebrity.
Gregory Peter Obi is a Nigerian, infact a former governor in one of the states of the Nation( Anambra state ). He is known and celebrated for his impeccable leadership records, his simplicity and the several feats he had achieved while in office.
He is a man burdened about the welfare of the people and strives for a better life and environment for everyone.
He is a businessman who has recorded tremendous success in the business industry and had always been at the top of his game before venturing into politics. He is a leader and a change agent.
He is currently running for the position of president of Nigeria and have now become a force to reckon with, changing the political narrative of the country from one of war, bitterness, hatred, desperation , tribalism, nepotism and all sorts of negativities to one of true democracy, of peace, one that advocates for competence and accountability rather than ethnic/tribal or religious affiliations, one with the people at heart and one that isn't worth the life of anyone.
I have come to love him because of these ideals and and have since longed for an opportunity to have dinner with him
He is also very educated and enlightened.
He has attended several universities like the University of Nigeria, Lagos business school, Columbia business school, Havard business school, London school of economics, kellogg school of management of Northwestern University, Cambridge university, Oxford university etc. I think of him as a super human
Having travelled across different countries of the world for business and academic purposes, he is blessed with the ability see things from different perspectives and a mind uncontrolled by sentiments.
He possesses a free spirit, unbiased, unsentimental and accommodating. He is rational , humane and objective to a fault. I really admire his lifestyle and would cherish having dinner with him.
There are quite a lot of questions I would like to ask him when I meet him and I think one night may not be enough for the talks.
First I would love to talk to him about his business exploits, how he managed to make so much money and thrived in business at an early age. It is known that he made millions in his twenties without any political affiliation or family influence. I would love to know how he could pull that through.
I would also love to talk to him about his large appetite for knowledge. I really can't understand why he would attend so many schools even amidst the fact that he was already successful and was doing so well in business. I would love to know what his drive was.
As a student, I can tell you that school isn't so easy or pleasurable. The fact that he has the vigour and energy to attend so many schools is fascinating.
You can scroll up and check out the long list of prestigious schools he had attended in different parts of the world.
There is a saying in my country which goes thus "if you can't beat them, you join them". This saying forms the way people behave and think in the country. It makes people conform to the existing norms and practices regardless of the fact that they're bad and corrupt.
This has made corruption thrive as many persons especially the rich have propagated the idea that corrupt practices are inevitable for anyone who wishes to succeed in their endeavors.
So far , Peter Obi have defiled such believes as he has been found to be a man of integrity and character.
I would like to talk to him about it. I would really love to know how he stood his ground and resisted all urges and pressure to conform to the ill ways of the corrupt political class and how he got so far without denting his integrity.
I would also like to talk to him about his simplicity and humility even with so much influence and affluence. There are quite a lot of testimonies of his humility and simplicity and we know how these qualities are scarce amongst the rich and highly place. I really admire him for that and would love to know how he does it.
Like I said before, Mr Peter Obi is currently running for the office of president in the forthcoming presidential election of my country, Nigeria.
He left one of the leading and formidable political parties of the country for an unpopular one due to the fact that the former was found to participate in some corrupt practices.
Although he is running under the platform of an unpopular party,He has galvanized quite a good amount of support . He is a good man and I am positive that he would emerge victorious. It would be a pleasure and an honour to have dinner with the next president of my country.
Thanks alot for stopping by. I hope you found this interesting. I would also love to know the celebrity you would love to have dinner with.

@luckydrums interesting choice, thank you for the detailed info regarding Mr Peter Obi. Nice to hear that people like him are still in politics. Having dinner with such a celebrity would make you famous and popular as well 😎😎😎
He is a good man and I it'd be a pleasure to have dinner with him. Thanks for stopping by
Big dream, absolutely top class...
Thanks alot. Truly top class
This is someone I am delighted in.
I'm not from the eastern or southern part of Nigeria but name of this man keeps buzzing everywhere.
Having a dinner with him is a dream come true.
Thanks for sharing with us
Thanks for replying. It will indeed be a dream come true. He is a good man and has good records. Every objective, wise and open-minded person would love and support him
your title attracted me to the post, the next president? like you are so sure he is going to win the election hmmmmmmmmm, i am not a fan of the three contestants[tinubu ,atiku and obi] but even if obi has a lot of supporter online, it doesn't guarantee that he will win the election because the other two are more powerful and they are old in the game... Most people want Obi to win, i hope he win and i hope he can make nigeria better too...
Thanks for stopping by, please I would like to ask, if you're not a fan of any of the three, then Who are you a fan of ??
no one, i don't trust all of them... remember during buhari time, everyone was like support Apc he will change the country, naira will become 1 per dollar, but see where we are at now, everything became worst.... i just hope the same thing won't happen with peter obi as the hype is just too much... i just want to observe though, whoever enters, we shall see the results after some months
I think buhari's case is different. I know you're enlightened and you can analyse things well and you don't do things because Everyone is doing it.
I think that was the problem. We were following everyone.
We failed to have our own minds, we failed to think with our own brains and make rational decisions for ourselves.
Please let's be objective here.
I think judging/analysing Peter Obi with buhari's past/antecedents is wrong. ( The fact that someone promised something and didn't fulfill his promise doesn't make everyone the same and shouldn't make you not to support anyone else)
My decision to support Peter Obi is not based on the fact that everyone is saying it.
I have made my research and my decision to support Mr. P is based off of it.
I think Mr Peter is competent and have proven to be qualified in all respect. Both physically, educationally, in leadership and in business
You can check his records in business and also as former governor.
I don't know if the person we compare him with had such records before we found him worthy of our support.
I think you should only pass the same conclusion and judgements about the outcome of their leadership if they had similar records before they vied for president.
"I can only say an orange seed would produce an orange plant, I cannot say all seeds would produce an orange plant".
If you have a company and you want to employ someone to manage it, wouldn't you ask for their qualifications, wouldn't you want to know how they they managed their previous jobs ?, would you make your judgements based on what everyone says ?, would you just employ them because everyone asks you to ?.
Don't you think it is wise to support someone who is not only fit physically but has shown competence and integrity in their previous works.
If the man( Peter Obi) I have decided to support now turns out bad or couldn't manage the office effectively tomorrow, I will vote against him with all alacrity.
This is how I think things should be.
I don't think the two persons in question are the same.
Make your analysis. If your position is better, I will switch to yours.
This is how I make my decisions
OBJECTIVENESS AND RATIONALISM
If you're a Nigerian, please get involved, don't show apathy. Things are critical.
Thanks for your comments bro
like i said though, i am not supporting anyone , even during buhari's time, i only observed, i am also not bad mouthing peter Obi here, i am just wow by the fact you believed he is going to be the next president... love your confidence and since it is around the corner, i will be happy to have this discussion with you again few months after the election, that is if he wins the election...
If the man( Peter Obi) I have decided to support now turns out bad or couldn't manage the office effectively tomorrow, I will vote against him with all alacrity. This is how I think things should be.
I didn't fail to notice this your point, it would be too late to vote against him when he enters though as he will finish his own time before you have the chance to vote him out...
But then no one knows what the future holds, we can only hope for the best...
If you're a Nigerian, please get involved, don't show apathy. Things are critical
.You also add it to your statement up there, do not follow everyone, do what you think is right and what my mind tells me is not to involve myself in this, i will just observe.... best of luck my man
Thanks alot and I acknowledge your points.
Let me react to this
It won't and can't be too late to vote him out because Elections in Nigeria is done after every 4 years. I dont think 4 years can be too late.
Secondly.
Yes I advocate that we make our decisions and not follow everyone, but I still advocate for rationality ( reason) and objectiveness.
I would like to ask this. Why will you not partake ( why would your mind tell you not to get involved ?). Why do you think not partaking in the forthcoming elections is right ?. What is the rationale behind that decision because this is an issue that whether we like it or not would affect all of us.
I would really like to know why you think your decision is right and rational.
I may just have to take your position afterwards.
Nna ehn... I sincerely hope this man wins. Because we have really suffered in this country. 2023 will surely come soon.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
