Hello everyone! I'm Lorentm, a passionate digital artist, and today I want to share with you my latest creation for the social media section of Splinterlands, in which I participate every week. On this occasion, I decided to revive a character that many know and love: the "FURIOUS CHICKEN"!
I had been wanting to work on this character for a long time, but I wasn't sure how to represent him. After giving it a lot of thought, I came up with the idea of making it a bit more cartoonish, something like the comics that inspire me so much.
This awesome fan art features the "FURIOUS CHICKEN" in all her glory. My illustration radiates energy and feisty attitude. I used a vibrant color palette to capture the character's fierce essence, interweaving warm and cool tones to highlight her presence. The "FURIOUS CHICKEN" is in a dynamic pose, with clenched fists and an aggressive expression, ready for action.
I focused on meticulous details, such as feathers and claws, to add depth and realism to the work. The background, full of lightning and flashes, suggests an atmosphere of intensity and action that perfectly complements the character's combative stance.

Tenía tiempo queriendo trabajar en este personaje, pero no estaba segura de cómo representarlo. Después de darle muchas vueltas, se me ocurrió hacerlo un poco más caricaturesco, algo así como los cómics que tanto me inspiran.
Este impresionante fan art presenta a la “FURIOUS CHICKEN” en todo su esplendor. Mi ilustración irradia energía y actitud combativa. Utilicé una paleta de colores vibrantes para capturar la esencia feroz del personaje, entrelazando tonos cálidos y fríos para resaltar su presencia. La “FURIOUS CHICKEN” está en una pose dinámica, con los puños cerrados y una expresión agresiva, lista para la acción.
Me enfoqué en los detalles meticulosos, como las plumas y las garras, para añadir profundidad y realismo a la obra. El fondo, lleno de rayos y destellos, sugiere una atmósfera de intensidad y acción que complementa perfectamente la postura combativa del personaje.

The chickens of the Splinterlands have had enough. For too long they have been kept in cages and pens. For too many generations their eggs have been made into omelettes, their breasts and thighs into nuggets, and their most pristine feathers into rather tacky jewelry. Under the brave leadership of a great hero known only as The Alpha Chicken, all chicken-kind is finally rising up against their oppressors. This uprising, all across the Splinterlands, is known as the Cluckening.
Las gallinas de las Tierras Esparcidas están hartas. Llevan demasiado tiempo encerradas en jaulas y corrales. Durante demasiadas generaciones sus huevos se han convertido en tortillas, sus pechugas y muslos en nuggets, y sus plumas más inmaculadas en joyas de mal gusto. Process / Proceso
The process of creating my digital drawing of the "FURIOUS CHICKEN" was an exciting and creative experience, and I would love to share it with you.
I started with sketching, the initial stage where I capture my ideas on the digital canvas. Using light, loose strokes, I drew the general shape of the character. At this stage, I focused on capturing the dynamic pose and aggressive expression of the "FURIOUS CHICKEN". As the sketch took shape, I adjusted the proportions and details to make sure the character's pose and energy were correct.
Once I was satisfied with the sketch, I moved on to delineation. Here, I used more defined and precise lines to reinforce the structure of the drawing. I worked on the outer lines and finer details, such as feathers and claws, making sure each stroke was clean and clear. This step is crucial to give clarity and definition to the illustration.
With the outline complete, I proceeded to coloring. I chose a palette of vibrant colors that reflected the ferocity of the character. I started with the base colors, applying them evenly to establish the main areas of color. Then, I added layers of hues to give the illustration more depth and richness.
The next step was to apply shadows. I used darker shades of the base color to create shadows in the areas where the light would not reach directly. This helped give the character volume and dimension, making it look more three-dimensional and realistic. I paid special attention to the areas around the feathers and claws, to accentuate texture and detail.
Finally, I added the glitter. Using lighter, white tones, I made small highlights in the areas where the light would reflect, such as the edges of the feathers and claws. These highlights added a final touch of realism and highlighted the character's combative energy.
Each of these steps was essential in bringing the "FURIOUS CHICKEN" to digital life. I thoroughly enjoyed the creative process and am excited to share this fan art with you all. I hope you enjoy seeing this illustration as much as I enjoyed creating it.
El proceso de creación de mi dibujo digital de la “FURIOUS CHICKEN” fue una experiencia emocionante y creativa, y me encantaría compartirlo con ustedes.
Comencé con el boceto, la etapa inicial en la que plasmo mis ideas en el lienzo digital. Usando trazos ligeros y sueltos, dibujé la forma general del personaje. En esta fase, me enfoqué en capturar la pose dinámica y la expresión agresiva de la "FURIOUS CHICKEN". A medida que el boceto tomaba forma, ajusté las proporciones y los detalles para asegurarme de que la postura y la energía del personaje fueran las correctas.
Una vez satisfecha con el boceto, pasé al delineado. Aquí, utilicé líneas más definidas y precisas para reforzar la estructura del dibujo. Trabajé en las líneas exteriores y en los detalles más finos, como las plumas y las garras, asegurándome de que cada trazo fuera limpio y claro. Este paso es crucial para dar claridad y definición a la ilustración.
Con el delineado completo, procedí al coloreado. Elegí una paleta de colores vibrantes que reflejara la ferocidad del personaje. Comencé con los colores base, aplicándolos de manera uniforme para establecer las áreas principales de color. Luego, fui añadiendo capas de matices para darle más profundidad y riqueza a la ilustración.
El siguiente paso fue aplicar sombras. Utilicé tonos más oscuros del color base para crear sombras en las áreas donde la luz no llegaría directamente. Esto ayudó a darle volumen y dimensión al personaje, haciendo que se vea más tridimensional y realista. Presté especial atención a las áreas alrededor de las plumas y las garras, para acentuar la textura y el detalle.
Finalmente, agregué los brillos. Con tonos más claros y blancos, realicé pequeños toques de luz en las áreas donde la luz se reflejaría, como los bordes de las plumas y las garras. Estos brillos añadieron un toque final de realismo y resaltaron la energía combativa del personaje.
