Uso Correcto del Extintor Portátiles. Experiencia Compartida.
Correct Use of Portable Fire Extinguishers. Shared Experience.

Para dar uso a este tipo de extintor de incendios, en caso que se necesite, se deben seguir cuatro (04) pasos muy sencillos:

  1. Halar el pasador de seguridad que se encuentra en el extremo superior del Extintor,
  2. Apuntar la Boquilla del extintor hacia la Base del Fuego,
  3. Presionar la Palanca para esparcir el químico (Según el tipo de extintor CO2 o PQS), el Usuario debe ubicarse a una distancia aproximada de 2,5 metros del fuego, si se deja de oprimir la palanca, la descarga del extintor se detiene;
  4. Esparcir la Boquilla de un lado a otro hacia la base del fuego.

To use this type of fire extinguisher, if needed, four (04) very simple steps must be followed:





    

  1. Pull out the safety pin at the top end of the Extinguisher.,
    2. 

  2. Point the Nozzle of the extinguisher at the Base of the Fire,
    3.

Todos los extintores se deben inspeccionar al instalarse y realizar mantenimiento como mínimo una vez al año.
Todo Extintor  Portátil del tipo de presión directa, se debe limpiar en todas sus partes, componentes y recargarlos en los casos  siguientes: a) Cuando haya sido usado; b) Cuando el dispositivo indicador de presión (manómetro), este por debajo de su operación normal de operación en el caso del Polvo Químico Seco (PQS) , en el caso del bióxido de carbono (CO2) se debe completar la carga del extintor; c) cada año a partir de la fecha de adquisición o última fecha que se realizó el mantenimiento, recarga.
