A very Happy Hive 2024!
Waiting for the clock to start ticking into 2024, and then staying up way past that magical hour AND being woken up way too early by one of our still forgetting it's only me now! my BnB guests, leaves me with very little oomph, but powering up on Hive takes very little effort right now!
Running a BnB takes a load of work, and consistently getting high reviews means a ton of effort goes into maintaining and continuously evolving as the market changes. I believe that those little touches to add to the guests' comfort make a huge difference.
Teamwork, and having a love of people is the only way to succeed in this business.
Dare I say the same goes for Hive?
Having a passion for blogging, interacting, and reading about what Hivers are up to across the globe, is vital to succeed here in the Hive blogosphere.
Simply 'flying solo' in one's own little bubble is not what Hive is about,
The benefits are countless - widening one's perspective on life by learning about various cultures, finding inspiration and getting the creative juices going, as well as finding kindred spirits; all these and more, are priceless!
How did I fare this month...
My Hive power-up is not that great, as December is one of the busiest months in my BnB, which means not enough time for Hiving, but it was an improvement from last month, I managed to power-up 300 Hive.
Writing is a tremendous help in working through dealing with loss, and I have been drawn here more than once just to vent.
There are many exciting initiatives on Hive PUD day, and if you wonder why we power up on the first day of each month, read this post from the Bizzy Bee @traciyork who tirelessly brings it all together!
That cheeky bee you see in my cover image is a badge given out by @hivebuzz for everyone who powers up at least 10 HP, and the bigger your power-up, the bigger the bee you're given.
PS I got stung by a real bee this morning, and boy, was it sore!
One of those initiatives started by @fionasfavourites turned into the The Power of Three when @coquicoin and I hopped onboard to help three qualifying redfish with delegations of 300 HP each for 21 days.
A big thank you to Fiona for keeping this going despite having to deal with the loss of her dearest man last year.
Let us all work together to make Hive an even better place in 2024!

Happy New Year 2024 @lizelle, I'm sure that your business will do better every day, you have only to look at how passionate you are about it... wished I could travel and spend some time there.
Said that, I wish you the best during this year, and catch you next New Year 😀
Thank you so much for the good wishes @drakernoise, the same right back to you!
Things have calmed down, the last holiday guests left this morning, so now it's back to our usual business guests, much easier.
I just read about the PUD from @traciyork and I most confess they are great initiative. December is always full of stress and couple with the bnb you are running it is not easy at all but 300 hive power is still good, next month will be better.
Hey @adedoyin01, thank goodness December has come and gone, and I survived!
I hope to be more active this year and build up my little kitty!
Congratulations @lizelle! You received a personal badge!
Participate in the next Power Up Day and try to power-up more HIVE to get a bigger Power-Bee.
May the Hive Power be with you!

Thank you @hivebuzz
Kudos @lizelle! Your commitment to Hive growth is admirable.
Hello @lizelle, I just read your earlier post about your husband. I feel deeply your loss. My husband and I have been married for 50 years, so that earlier post affected me.
I admire your strength. It is inspiring.
Hope the year ahead only presents challenges that are manageable. It seems, for you, that's just about any challenge. And you are right about Hive. It's about "Teamwork, and having a love of people".
Hope to be a more regular reader of your blog, and a more frequent contributor to the Silver Bloggers Community.
Hi @agmoore, Thank you so very much for your words of encouragement.
All I can say is enjoy each moment together, as one never knows when that time will come, and who will be left behind. At least my hubby has been spared having to go through the loss of a life partner.
I hope to spend more time engaging with Hivers this year, and look forward to seeing you around the Silver Bloggers :)

2024 arrived without the excitement you have enjoyed previously, being busy was most probably the best thing for you through this time.
Cooler weather most definitely helped somewhat as well.
