Greetings to all the CineTv community. The first thing I must say is that as soon as I saw the theme of this contest I got very excited because, since I was a little girl, I know the answer to this question: What is my favorite song used in a movie?

Un saludo a toda la comunidad de CineTv. Lo primero que debo decir es que a penas ví el tema de este concurso me emocioné mucho debido a que, desde muy chiquita, sé cuál es la respuesta a esta pregunta. ¿Cuál es mi canción favorita utilizada en una película?

Without any doubt it is 'Forbidden Friendship' from the movie 'How to train your dragon' this movie was released in 2010 when I was just a little girl, and I remember it was one of the first movies I saw in the cinema, along with my family, we all loved it. We liked it so much that on the way home we bought a dvd of the movie and watched it a bunch of times.

Sin ninguna duda es 'Forbidden Friendship' de la película 'Como entrenar a tu dragón' está película fue estrenada en el año 2010 cuando yo era apenas una niña, y recuerdo que fue una de las primeras películas que ví en el cine, junto con mi familia, todos la amamos. Nos gustó tanto que de camino a casa compramos un dvd de la película y la vimos otro montón de veces.

This instrumental theme appears in a very emotional scene that even today brings tears to my eyes. The scene is about Hiccup and Toothless (the main characters). Hiccup tries to approach Chimuelo and for this he tries to feed him with a fish, finally Chimuelo accepts the fish and as an act of kindness he gives half of it to Hiccup, who in order not to disrespect the dragon eats a piece of this half. However, when Hiccup tries to approach the dragon gets scared and runs away. At one point Hiccup sees Hiccup drawing with a branch on the ground and he decides to imitate him, it is at this point where the climax of the song begins, Hiccup makes giant scribbles on the ground, and Hiccup is impressed with the way the dragon imitates him. Finally Hiccup tries to touch Chimuelo again and Chimuelo allows him to do so. This is how the friendship between these two began, based on respect and kindness. Hiccup never tried to force Chimuelo to be his pet dragon, between them there was a true connection and an unparalleled friendship.

Esta tema instrumental aparece en una escena muy emotiva que incluso hoy en día provoca que las lágrimas salgan de mis ojos. La escena trata de Hipo y Chimuelo (los protagonistas). Hipo intenta acercarse a Chimuelo y para esto intenta alimentarlo con un pescado, finalmente chimuelo acepta el pescado y como acto de amabilidad de la la mitad a hipo, este para no irrespetar al dragón se come un trozo de esta mitad. Sin embargo cuando hipo intenta acercarse el dragón se asusta y huye. En un momento dado chimuelo ve a Hipo dibujando con una rama sobre la tierra y este decide imitarlo, es en este punto en dónde inicia el climax de la canción, chimuelo hace garabatos gigantes sobre la tierra, e Hipo queda impresionado con la forma en la que el dragón lo imita. Finalmente hipo intenta tocar a chimuelo nuevamente y este se lo permite. Es así como inicia toda la amistad entre estos dos, a base de respeto y amabilidad. Hipo nunca intento forzar a chimuelo a ser su dragón mascota, entre ellos hubo una conexión verdadera y una amistad sin igual.

This song was written by John Powell and performed by Gavín Greenaway and again John Powell. Created exclusively for use as the soundtrack to this beautiful film. For me this song achieves what all songs should achieve: to convey a feeling from the music. With soft but marked melodies, it manages to make you feel serene and confident, as if you were having a first experience that you know will be positive.

Esta canción fue escrita por John Powell e interpretada por Gavín Greenaway y de nuevo John Powell. Creada exclusivamente para su uso como soundtrack de esta bella película. Para mí está canción logra lo que todas deberían lograr: transmitir un sentimiento a partir de la música. Con melodías suaves pero marcadas, logra hacerte sentir sereno y en confianza, como si estuviese teniendo una primera experiencia que sabes que será positiva.
