My Actifit Report Card: June 9 2022
It was a seven-hour travel day to get back home. I spent some time getting everything organized and stored in the garage.
I broke the stabilizer jack on the front of the camper when I was driving out of the land. I think it got stuck in the ground and twisted off. It took some time to get it off the camper because it was twisted up so badly. I had to borrow a socket from the neighbor to complete the job. I might have been able to do it with just an open-ended wrench but it was taking me a long time. It was nice the neighbor had a socket I could borrow.
If I could not get it off I might have tied it up with a rope to keep it from dragging. I'm not sure why they don't make these stabilizer jacks face towards the rear of the trailer. It seems less likely to break off from low ground clearance.
I think part of the issue might have been from using a different stinger on the hitch. The one I had been using hits the ground before the front of the trailer does and it is a bit longer. I think I'll go back to using it again. It is a lot heavier and drags a bit on my driveway but the trailer is easier to back up with it.

You can see a bit of pixelation in the photo but I think it is amazing to get this good result without using a tripod or long lens.

It was a lot of fun to be out camping. I've been doing a lot of driving recently so that was the challenging part. I might not need to replace the stabilizer jack there are three of them left that are working. I'm not sure how big a difference it will be not to have the forth.

Actually getting it off the camper while I was on the road and didn't have access to all my tools was the hard part. I'm not sure if I really need to replace it or not.
looks like you have to spend a long time to pull it off the ground, and your journey takes a long time. thanks for sharing, today's puppies are cute as usual.
It does take a lot of time to get out to the campsite and back but it is nice to be out there.

Surely your camping site this time is very fun, I see the scenery there is very beautiful and of course the air is very fresh, your dogie also looks cute
It was a very fun time camping. It is nice to get away from the city for awhile.
yes of course, sometimes everyone needs to do new things like camping to enjoy the beauty as you feel
Your insurance should cover it, no? I would have one of their people come and look at it, then if it needs replacing, they will do it.
After totaling one of my campers from an exploding tire I hesitate to bother the insurance company over a trivial expense. 😃 It was easier to fix it on the road than call triple A or someone to come out and do it. I don't think the replacement part is too expensive but I have not looked at prices yet.
Wow! When did that happen??? That is horrible! That would have freaked me out for a long time!
It didn't sound like a trivial expense, but, trailers are funny that way. You just can never tell how much something is going to cost.
