Exploring Rome in Black & White
It was a lovely November and great few days we spent walking around the lesser known streets and hoods of the Eternal City - Rome, Italy.
I let my eye search for and capture unusual details and scenes full of contrast.
I intentionally brought a smaller camera for two reasons - to travel lightweight and to be noticed less than usual. As sometimes I get too much attention when I carry with me the "proper big black professional camera".
Yes, photography is an art. The Eight Art. So as an art it has to be enjoyed. I hope you'll see that I've enjoyed rediscovering Roma through my lens.
You probably know by now how much I love Black & White or sometimes referred as Monochromatic photography. I have always believed that while Color Photography shows the external part of our world, Black and White Photography shows the soul, the inner hidden side of everything. Please consider the first photo of this post as my entry today to the established #monomad daily contest by @monochromes, supported by @qurator, thank you everyone for your hard and continuous efforts to build and grow this great community!

Have a great day, stay safe, stay strong and let your muse be always on your shoulder!
Lovely pictures. Captures the pure age of the city. I went in 2019, and cant wait to go back. Even if you spend months there you will still not discover all of the hidden treasures. One of the best places I visited was Nero's palace, which is now under Rome. You have to wear a hardhat haha
Thank you! I'll be putting that point on my to-go-map.
Very well said, I don't think even a whole life would be enough to discover everything in the Eternal City ;)
