Our Unexpected Trip to Cebu
It was around second week of May that we travelled back to the place where I spent my childhood and teen years. It was unexpected travel because we received a sad news from my family there but despite of unexpected travel, we still enjoyed our travel especially that we have kids around who were the most happiest ones during the travel.
It's been how many years that we had traveled to distant places with my kids . During that time, my kids were still small. During the trip, they would only sleep until we reached our destination. I was expecting that our travel to Cebu last month would be the same but my expectation was wrong. When they know that we were going to Cebu, the excitement was written all over their face and I couldn't help but feel excited too. It's been how many years since I haven't been to my birthplace.
This was the first photo that I took on that day of our travel. We were riding a motorcycle going to the terminal of the Vans. I could see in their eyes how happy and excited they were and I myself was excited too because finally, I could see my loved ones again. When we reached the terminal, we were seated in the last seats. During our whole travel riding in a Van, the mouth of my kids didn't stop talking about what they saw around.
Along the way, I took a photo of the place where there are many tall trees standing beside the road. I was really captivated by a green scenery around that's why I took photos but others are kinda blurred since the van was moving.
This was in the waiting area inside the port. We were waiting for our bags because it was checked by a K9 dog. I wasn't able to take photo of the dog while checking each bag that were put on the floor but I did remember the name that the guard called her. Her name is "Shane".
After checking our bags we went up to the ship and occupied our respective decks, the kids immediately asked permission if they could stay beside the railings so they could watch the view below. They were guided by their father and at that moment, I could see the enjoyment that they had on that day. After their sightseeing beside the railings, we ate the food that we brought but since it was just a little amount, so my partner bought pack food in the canteen.
This was the food that he bought. Chicken Adobo and pancit, it all taste good.
After eating, kids were back again roaming with their fathers supervised. After few minutes, they were back to their beds and we had conversations with them. They told us that they won't sleep the entire night but as soon as I woke up from my sleep, I saw them sleeping peacefully.😅
When we were almost reaching the Pier 5 in Cebu, we passed by this new built bridge. If I'm not mistaken, this is named CCLEX. The newest bridge built in Cebu.

This is my family. I took a photo of them as a remembrance of our first trip altogether.
Unexpected yet full of enjoyment. That's how I describe our travel together and I am thankful to God for our safe travel in going to Cebu. They say that it's very tiring when we traveled with kids and that's a yes but it's more fun and full enjoyment.
