A Wonderful Day in Lloret de Mar

Hello dear travelers. Today we arrived in the town of Lloret de Mar. We were a bit hungry and started looking for a restaurant as soon as we arrived. After that we went to the beach. There are free charging stations for electric cars. We parked our car and started walking. The weather is better today, 26 degrees. There's a light breeze, but overall those here can go to the beach and sunbathe. There isn’t a single cloud in the sky. There are tourists in the hotels.

We went to a restaurant we found online that serves kebabs grilled on charcoal. We wanted to try dishes from different cuisines. First there’s khachapuri, which costs 11 Euros. There are various dishes, but I will only show you some options that interest me. Borscht is 8.50 Euros. There are also various pelmenis and khinkalis. We ordered a portion of khinkali, which costs 11 Euros. Pelmeni costs 7.90 Euros. There’s even stuffed grape leaves here. We got a cola to drink. There were also desserts and various alcoholic beverages. I wanted borscht because I haven't had borscht for a long time and I don’t know how to make it myself. Actually I can make it, but it doesn’t turn out like real borscht, so I never try.

My meal was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my borscht. The khinkali portion had five pieces and they were quite large. I really had a great meal. Someone coming to Lloret de Mar will probably want to try more paella or local colorful dishes. But for someone living here or coming from Barcelona to wander around Lloret de Mar and hasn't had their own food for a long time, I highly recommend this restaurant. The restaurant’s name is Ugolok. After eating, we went for a walk.

We came to the beach. There are sunbed and umbrella rental services and the prices are 8 Euros. The same as last year’s prices. A boat is leaving the shore. There is a promenade here, surrounded by hotels and apartments. At the beach you can also rent a kayak or a catamaran with a slide. You can have fun sliding into the sea.

There are many restaurants and cafes on the beach. There are also information points where you can take a boat tour along the coast. Lifeguards are working on the beach, and the green flag is flying. The beach season has fully started. As soon as the temperature rises a bit and the rains stop, the beaches are filled. The beach is full of many tourists along with local visitors sitting around. Most people are swimming in the sea, but the water is still cool, around 21 degrees.

We walked on the road called Cami de Ronda. You can walk from here to the main beach of Lloret de Mar. A few years ago we tried to walk this road but it was closed. One of the activities you can do is to try catching sea creatures with a bucket and shovel. This place is really beautiful with stunning views.

We walked along the path, passing through tunnels. Here you can rest perfectly and enjoy the rocks, paths and turquoise-colored water. There was a beautiful bridge ahead of us. I saw a fisherman, so those who love fishing can bring their rods here. However I should mention that you need a license to fish here. But if you cast your line among the rocks, it might not be a problem.

We climbed up and from there, we could clearly see the mini golf holes. There used to be a good mini golf course here, but now it's all overgrown with weeds. It would have been great to play with such a beautiful view. There was a snake here. You can't imagine how scared I am of snakes. This was a terrifying thing for me. The snake was right in front of me and climbed up the rock. I should mention that there are venomous snakes here, so you need to be careful. Not only water snakes but also viper species are present.

There is a wonderful viewing terrace here. We enjoyed the beautiful view. This place is full of roots and you can’t tell where the snake is or where the root is. I won't exaggerate anymore; this was the first snake I saw in Spain. There are beautiful views, massive rocks, and these rocks are things you can enjoy while walking in Lloret de Mar.

The turquoise water is truly stunning. We walked towards the car and sat somewhere to have ice cream. Our walk was delightful. We didn’t go to the central beach today; we walked along Cami de Ronda for a bit, enjoyed the beautiful views, and then set off to go home. Lloret de Mar is full of people, and the beach season has fully started. The water is still cool around 20-21 degrees. Pack your bags and suitcases and come to Lloret de Mar for a holiday. That's all for today friends. See you soon.
