Visiting the New Cadiz Museum [ESP-ENG]

Taking advantage of these days off for Holy Week, on Saturday I came to visit the New Cadiz Museum; it is located in front of the Luisa Caceres of Arismendi Park and Bolivar Square, in the historic center of Asuncion, city of New Sparta State in Margarita Island, Venezuela, a historic, colonial and very beautiful city.

Aprovechando estos días libres por la Semana Mayor o Semana Santa, el día sábado me vine a visitar y conocer el Museo Nueva Cádiz; se encuentra ubicado frente al Parque Luisa Cáceres de Arismendi y la Plaza Bolívar, en el Casco histórico de La Asunción, Capital del Estado Nueva Esparta en la Isla de Margarita, Venezuela, una ciudad histórica, colonial y muy bonita.

This museum was built between 1609 and 1612, initially this site served as the city hall and jail of the city, still preserved "The Calabozo".

We interviewed an employee of the site and she kindly gave us a guided tour, this place also exhibits tables, chairs and many objects recovered and donated by companies and the general public.

Entrevistamos a una empleada del sitio y muy amablemente nos dio una visita guiada, en este lugar además se exhiben mesas, sillas y muchos objetos recuperados y donados por empresas y publico en general.

This is a magnificent museum, here you can also find a spectacular central garden, full of green and many flowers, they have the map of the state made in relief, they tell us that previously there were marine species and turtles, but due to the pandemic they had to shelter and protect them in another place.

Este es un magnífico museo, aquí podrás encontrar además un jardín central espectacular, lleno de verde y muchas flores, tienen el mapa del estado realizado en relieve, nos cuentan que anteriormente habían especies marinas y tortugas, pero debido a la pandemia tuvieron que resguardarlos y protegerlos en otro sitio.
