& The woman who traced my path to make me what I am. Congratulations on your day, brave woman!
As March begins to commemorate Women's Day, thinking about this special day, I have decided to start this month by introducing you to the most valuable woman in my life, my mother. For years, women have fought for their dignity, respect and equality. Mother, sister, daughter, wife, companion, neighbor, grandmother, all in some way, have earned my respect, but first and foremost I have my mother.
In the XXI century, women still struggle for better treatment in society, especially at home, since I can remember, my mother has always worked outside the home, I remember when I was only about 6 years old, my mother worked as a cleaner in a high school, we had to get up early every day, to go to the workplace with my mother, and when it was near the time of our entry into the school, she accompanied us, and then return to his workplace which was about two blocks away. Eventually she decided to study and studied nursing, those night and day shifts of about twelve hours arrived, which made her absence at home noticeable, serving as a nurse in a public hospital, with a very low salary, she had to go to other types of jobs, her free time was dedicated to work in some family homes, washing, cleaning and ironing clothes. All her efforts to be better have made me give her the value she deserves, not only as a mother but also as a brave and courageous woman.
Today my mother is already a retired nurse, with her 70 years, she is still active, she likes to walk, to help the sick or needy, she still applies her nursing knowledge if needed, and as if that were not enough, my mother is always attentive to her 6 children, ready to support us in whatever we need. I think it was necessary to choose a day in the calendar to vindicate the woman, that working woman, who had to leave home to work to receive a salary, a salary that at that time and today is not enough for so many hours that a woman works, because after arriving home, the workday does not end, at home she must continue her work, cleaning her house, taking care of her children, helping them in school chores, preparing food and as if that were not enough, she must take care of her partner. This was my mother for more than thirty years, a hardened, persevering and above all God-fearing woman.
