[ENG/ESP] Pyramids of Teotihuacan / México
Hola Hivers,
[ENG] I can not hide my passion for pre-Hispanic history in Mexico, on my trip to this beautiful country I had the pleasure of visiting one of the most mythical and fascinating places I have been able to travel, Teotihuacan is an incredible place where contact with history, religion and culture are mixed with the fascinating and beautiful nature.
Our tour started at the Hotel Mallorca, where we were very well taken care of, the truth is that they were very kind and attentive during the whole stay. In that area, downtown Mexico City, there are many places that offer a tour of the most emblematic sites of the city - if you don't know the city well, it seems to me the most recommendable -, however, we preferred to do the tour on our own because we thought it would be much more exciting that way.
So early in the morning and after a ride on the Metrobus to "La Raza" station, which is located between lines five (5) and three (3) of the Mexico City Metro, we were only one station away from the bus terminal of Autobuses del Norte, where we didn't even have time to have breakfast when there was already a bus available to travel to our destination.
In a trip with beautiful urban and rural landscapes in less than an hour we were already very close to Teotihuacan. Upon arrival you get the museum of Teotihuacan, a very clean and organized cultural and commercial center.
Arriving at the archaeological area the first thing we visited was the citadel, one of the most remarkable sites of Teotihuacan, which houses the pyramid of the Feathered Serpent among other ancient and historical buildings.

Teotihuacan or Teotihuacan translates as "place where men become gods", or Teo uacan "City of the Sun" is the name given to what was one of the largest pre-Hispanic cities in America. It is an incredible, mysterious and fascinating place. Where one of the largest archaeological areas and monuments of Mexico is located.
To get to the great Pyramids, we took a path called "La Calzada de los Muertos" which led us directly to one of the archaeological wonders of Teotihuacan, "The Pyramid of the Sun", which is sixty-three meters high.

In turn, the Pyramid of the Moon is one of the oldest buildings in Teotihuacan located towards the north side, smaller than its companion.
When you leave Teotihuacan you feel like you are another person, it feels like you got something you didn't possess before arriving to this wonderful place, definitely getting there was a gift from above.
I hope soon to be able to visit this wonderful place again.
