Night walk through the black-yellow traffic circle
I am pleased to present my first publication for this community "Wednesday Walk" (hive-155530), hoping you like it. Greetings to all 👋
I live in Caracas - Venezuela, and I left in December 2023 to spend the last days of the year in the city of San Cristobal to welcome the new year 2024. It was my first visit to that city and therefore I decided to go out and visit some of its most emblematic places, as is the case of the black-yellow traffic circle where I took the photographs that I am sharing with you today.
This place is a kind of circular plaza where several avenues converge located at the intersection of Avenue 19 de April and Avenue Carabobo. Since it was the Christmas season, everything was brightly lit and colorful.
In Venezuela, the tradition of making a nativity scene, which marks the beginning of the Christmas season, is a deep-rooted custom and consists of the representation of the birth of the baby Jesus.
Venezuelan nativity scenes usually include figures of the Holy Family, the Three Wise Men, angels, shepherds and other elements that recall the birth of Jesus. In the place it was possible to contemplate one with figures of the characters of great size.
In addition to all the attraction of the passageway, it also has a commercial establishment that sells fast food, such as hamburgers and pizzas, as well as ice cream. A very nice place, in the style of an open-air hut where you can share and enjoy the food.
The most emblematic thing about this place is that there is a monument in homage to the Deportivo Táchira soccer club, which has become an important landmark in the city and a tribute to the sporting sentiment and history of the club whose representative colors are yellow and black. The plane that can be seen in the image symbolizes the permanent rise of the team, which has managed to win 10 championships in the Venezuelan soccer league.
And after walking around the traffic circle, taking pictures and enjoying some good and creamy ice cream, I left happy to have known the place, which has become a meeting place, celebration and recreation of the inhabitants of San Cristobal and the fans of Deportivo Tachira.
Thank you very much and see you next time 👋
