Morning walks for #WednesdayWalk
Waking up before the sun is up. I had set my alarm but of course it would be in about an hour before I would be out. It's that debate between the mind and body until when they will come to an agreement.
I looked outside the window and checked the sky. It's getting brighter and colors are appearing. That's when I finally got up and prepared myself.
Once done, I opened one of my apps to count my steps and set off.
I took the uphill route and took the photo above. The moon can still be seen.
As I move further away, the sky changed color quickly.
The streets are dark and wet but there are streetlights along the way thankfully.
From our apartment to the clearing where I can view the sunrise in full view takes me about 2k+ steps, about 20 minutes more or less depending on my pace.
I can already see the rays of the sun so I had to hasten. I took this one first for good measure since I don't know what will I witness by the time I arrived at the area where I can view the east clearly.
Taking these photos as I go on.
Notice the building on the left side of the photo.
That's where I came from. That's the top of the hill that I usually go to just for sunrise viewing. That building is a school by the way.
I like how the fog covered almost everything. Fog would move towards that that area and disperse into the air. It's one of the things I like when I am there. I would be surrounded by fog and cold wind blowing all around me.
I took a couple photos a few meters away before finally heading to the park.
As I near the city center, the sky started to clear and became brighter.
I like going for a walk before everything starts getting busy. Streets are not that busy. Stores are just starting to open. The world is just coming to life.
It was a Sunday morning when I passed by Session Road and the usual Sunday market encounter is being set up. This will be closed to vehicles the whole day and the people can enjoy walking up and down the road, checking out whatever is sold there or what activities are being held.
This is one of the branches of this fastfood here in the city. This used to be McDonald's for as long as I can remember before taken over by Jollibee. However, McDonald's opened a store right next to it.
Street sweepers are working early too. This is in time for the garbage collectors also, collecting trash around the city.
Then, I headed to the park to complete my walk.
These were taken at Rose Garden. I just love how the rays of the sun cuts through the trees.
Unfortunately, not much roses can be seen. I wonder if there will come a time again where all the roses will bloom at the same time. That only happened one time when they planted new roses. After that, roses would bloom here and there scattered throughout the garden.
I took these two last images before deciding to go home for by then I have completed my 10k steps.
There goes my #WednesdayWalk for today which is hosted by @tattoodjay.
