Hoy retomo la escritura con la finalidad de extender mi agradecimiento a tantos usuarios que se hicieron eco de una publicación hecha por mi amiga @parauri quien redactó un post de verdadera elocuencia en el cual explica el duro y fuerte padecimiento que he venido enfrentando en algo más de 2 años y motivado a un adenocarcinoma prostático.

En esta publicación se apeló a los corazones de Hive que afortunada y positivamente respondieron a la sugerencia de colaborar en beneficio de mi persona mediante la solicitud de ayuda económica y, sin embargo, también ha habido muchas muestras de afecto, cariño y reconocimiento a mi labor en esta red social.

En principio, un amigo de Openmic me propuso hacer algo similar, pero consideré más indicado el recurrir a mi billetera de Hive que tenía para entonces más de 5.500 HP, y logré costear medicamentos, pagos del urólogo y una dieta exigente pues no contenía harina, pasta, arroz, grasa, azúcar ni mucha sal.

En el inicio presenté una prueba de antígeno de 86, y el médico después de unos 3 meses me ordenó la realización de una biopsia que costó 200 dólares, la cual dio como resultado adenocarcinoma avanzado.

El Seguro Social me facilitaba los medicamentos que eran pastillas de Bicalutamida 159 mg y una inyección Leuprolide 3.75 mg, que se denominan de alto costo.

En efecto, duré 6 meses tomando los medicamentos, con dieta y disciplina total, al punto que al poco tiempo ese antígeno bajó a 3 y, no solo eso, sino que un mes después descendió a 2.3.

El urólogo estaba muy cotento y optimista, pero para mala suerte los medicamentos dejaron de llegar al Seguro Social y era difícil conseguirlos en las farmacias, hasta que mi hijo ubicó esos medicamentos en una red de farmacias llamada REDVITAL y me mandó 2 cajas.

Igualmente, una maestra querida de nombre Amelia Seijas me regaló 2 cajas de Bicalutamida que había dejado de tomar un paciente por haber fallecido.

Sin embargo, ya no fue lo mismo y el antígeno me subió a 53.3 una verdadera mala noticia y aunque luego bajó a 29.9, ya no sentí mejoría física.

En vista de que el cáncer se tornaba agresivo, me fue practicada una orquiectomía testicular.

Recientemente el doctor me mandó un estudio de gammagrama óseo que sale en 250 dólares. Con la ayuda de amistades y de la red Hive he logrado superar la cantidad, y está pautado que para este jueves se me realice ese estudio.

No ha sido fácil ni sencillo sobrellevar esta situación, pero con la fe y esperanza en Dios camino con firmeza hacia la sanación.

También doy las gracias a mi familia, sobre todo, mi hermana Carmen Luisa, y a una dama que es Francisca Crespo quien se ha encargado de la mayoría de las atenciones.

En verdad que esta enfermedad no me permite mayores libertades pues he dejado mi constancia en las publicaciones donde ocupo el lugar 124 entre los que más han publicado en esta red social.

Agradezco a los usuarios de @holos&lotus y @mundoautismo por tanta solidaridad, y me han hecho saber que no estoy solo, sino con Dios y con ellos.
